Review: The Island of the Blue Dolphins is a great story by Scott O'Dell. It was a fantastic book about how a girl got left on an island and had to find a way to survive, not knowing if people would ever come back. Karana (the girl) is very brave, an I was surpised with how she began her adventure. One of my favorite moments was when I was visualizing her looking out at some dolphins splashing in the water with a beautiful sunset above them. If you love beautiful scenery, adventure, and excitement, Island of the Blue Dolphins is the book to read!

Review: Island of the blue dolphins is a great book. It is an exiting story about a girl who is traped on an island for years. She fights the wild dogs and builds herself a house. her only company is a dog named Rontu and two birds. one of the best parts is when the ship with white sails comes and takes everyone away. That's when she gets left behind.

Review: This was a good book and I liked it. The book had a lot of detail to it. I liked the part when she became friends with the dog. I did not like the part when turned around and went back to the Island when she was in the middle of the ocean. My favorite charactor was the dog. I felt bad when the dog died. It was really cool that she made her own shelter and her own clothes. She also gathered her own food. I enjoyed reading the book.

Review: I enjoyed the book and I thought it was great. My favorite character was Karana. I also felt sorry for Karana because her father died, her sister went away and then her brother died. I think that Karana was a very brave girl because she made her own shelter, made her own food and she wasn't very scaird of the wild dogs.

Review: I like it because you see adventure and life skills and I also enjoyed the part when the girl gets stranded on the island and needs the weapons. I also liked when she found out what had happend to her father and her brothers and sisters, cousin and aunts and uncles, and all her family including the whole village.

Review: Island of the Blue Dolphins is a book about a girl who learns to survive by what she has seen and by what she has been taught. She also gets through many years surving by herself even though good things or bad. But in the end she learns a good lessen of responsibility. I really didn't like the book but who ever enjoys survival books they will really enjoy this book.
