Review: 10/11/01 Wow! I loved this book. It is the best book I have ever read.
I give it two thumbs up.
The characters are Karana, Rountu, and Rountuaru. The book
also included Ramo.
The setting is on an island around the year
1602.
In this book Karana and her people are visited by Russian hunters. The hunters think they should not trade her people's things for the seal they want to hunt. In a war, most people die.
They have to leave the island. Karana gets left behind. What will happen next?

Review: This movie may be old but it still has its charm. My child is reading the book in his class and he loves it. When he found out that there was a movie for it he jumped for joy to go and rent it. He watched it and he loved it. Although there were some sad parts but he loved it! It's great for the whole family!! So buy this movie and you will love it to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: I read this last year and I did not like this book at all. It was very boring. If you like Scott O'Dell's books and you like Native Americans or historical fiction, I would very strongly reccommend another book by Scott O'Dell- Sing Down the Moon, another historical fiction Native American book also by Scott O'Dell.

Summary: Wan-e-pel-li
Review: Island of the Blue Dolphins is a good book because it pulls you into the story in the 1st paragraph. Wan-e-pel-li the main character meets lots of new friends such as Rontu and Rontu-Aru her dogs. She also had four birds later in the story. Then she doesn't want to leave the island. If you like this book I have read a series of books just like this book. The two books are Antarctica Journey to the Pole, and Antactica Escape from Disaster.

Review: This book is an adventure story and you never know what is going to happen next!It swallows you into the book and you read page by page until you are finished with the whole book!I think this book was very good and intresting.It shows you how strong people are when they are in need.Karana is living on a island with her tribe until one day salutes drive her tribe of the beatiful island.They were scared of them and what they might do to them. All of her tribe left exept for Karana and her brother,they get stranded for many days and years.I cannot tell you why and what became of them.You have to read this incredibale book!
