Rating: Summary: Island of the Blue Dolphins Review: I liked this book because it had suspense and suprises. It was so suprsing when sad things happend. I never would have guessed that! My favorite scene is when she went home after eighteen years at the island without any family except Ronto. What I liked about it was that it was suspensful and sad. What I disliked about it was that it had a little to much violence. Otherwise I liked it a lot. This book is one of the best books I read in the sixth grade. This is the best book I've read all year. I hope you read this book sometime.

It doesn't matter what age you are and if you read 4 chapters a day you can get it done in 1 week! The book is about a girl who survives on an island for 18 yeras by herself and some amazing, sad, and happy things happen. It teaches you some great lessons. 1 of them is that you can survive by yourself if you put your mind to it. My favorite scene in the story is in chapter 19. If you want to know what happens you'll have to read this book! From: "Contact"
Rating: Summary: Island of the Blue Dolphin Review: You Know what a good book is? Island of the Blue Dolphins. Scott O'Dell does a wonderful job telling this girls story of survival, physically and emotionally. This young girl's tribe is forced to leave their island after the Alutes came and killed most of the men in their tribe. The day they are set to leave, this girls little brother is not on the boat and the boat is already pulling away from the cove. So she jumps off and swims to the island to stay with her brother. Soon after she is abandoned, her brother is killed by a pack of wild dogs. Now she is all alone on the Island of the Blue Dolphins. Scott O'Dell does a wonderful job with this book. This young girl is truly pushed to the limits. Seeing as she is living on her own for years. Her character is such an inspiration. She over came many obstacles to survive. She definitely faces conflict when her brother dies. This was probably her biggest obstacle. I personally enjoyed this book. I found it truly inspiring. I have never read any of Scott O'Dell's books before. I believe that his other books will be just as good as this one. This story has such a good story line to it. It kind of reminded me of Cast Away. The main characters both had to survive by them self's for a while before getting rescued.
Rating: Summary: Have you ever survived on an island? Review: Island of the Blue Dolphins is a good book because it feels like you are in it while you are reading. There are a lot of sad parts and how you survive when you are stuck on an island. This book is so good that it will let you keep on reading until you finish the story. It has some funny parts that will make you laugh like a laughing hyena. The parts that will be showing are, when Karana did a funny dance and when she met a Portugese girl that was the same height as her. The other funny part was when she learned how to speak portugese. This book that I loved, and the most intriguing story I have ever read it is called, Island of the Blue Dolphins. It's about a 14 year old girl that saved her life by an island she used to live in, before she moved. The characters were Karana, Ramo, The Aleuts, and a portugese girl. It is about Karana helping herself to be warm and surviving by food, shelter, clean water, and clothing. It has different animals, including wolves, and a lot of insects. This book wrote about how this young lady survived without any help, only herself and her little brother, but everyone that is reading my article is going to like the book. There are going to be a lot of tragedies in the book, so I hope you like to write a summary about this book that you want to read and put it on a projector on a poster for a book fair like in your elementary school that you went last year or you are still in that school. I bet it's a good book to you and I hope you write about the book! And if you want to write me back or you can mail it in my house, I would like that because it would be pleasure to me to write back and we could be friends until we get old and we would see who wrote me the letter. Thankyou for reading this article and please write back
Rating: Summary: The Island of the Blue Dolphins Review: I like the book. Because it had a lot of emotions and eximent. The author expressed and worded it good. I like how the girl was smart enough to live for years by herself on the island. The worst or saddest part. Was when the boy was killed by wild dogs, and his sister was by herself. The best part. Was when the girl and the leader of the wild dogs became friends. The vivid parts. Was when the girl was fighting with the wild dogs. Also when the girls village and Aleuts started fighting. The reason it was the vivid is because I wonted to know who won, and it had a lot of action.
Rating: Summary: Great Impression Review: I read this book when I was in 6th grade and I still remember it well. It made a wonderful impression on me and I really appreciated that my teacher made me read it. I still love the book and still read it all the time.
Rating: Summary: Amy's review of the Island of the Blue Dolphins! Review: Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'dell is a very touching and fabulous story.I would give it five out of five stars. This story is about a Native American girl named Karana who has to survive on an island by herself for many years. One of the reasons I liked this book was because a girl was the main character and she did many of the things the men did in her tribe such as build a house and make the weapons. She even had a wild dog who became a loyal friend. One of the horrible parts in the story is that a lot of people die.All of this is based on a true story which makes it more astounding to read.
Rating: Summary: Island of the Blue Dolphins Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read. I couldn't put it down. Scott O'Dell's decription of Blue Dolphin Island was so real I sometimes felt I was the girl, Karana in the story struggling to stay alive all by myself. When Karan's brother was killed by the wolves I was as angry as she was but I was glad when she saved Rontu's life and became his friend. This book made me realize that people are very important in your life and we should appreciate everyone.
