Rating: Summary: Right on Target Review: Naysayers of the series of three books was predicted by Walsch. These books are written in a format that you must read, pause, reflect and re-read. Born and raised in a Catholic school and being saved in my mid 20s, I often wondered why I still felt "hollow". Walsch's books and his conversation with God, dispells all of the "Chuches" Damnation logic. I personnally was freed by the truth that is invoked in all the text. A must read if you want to free your mind and soul...the rest of the jouney is up to you
Rating: Summary: CWG BOOKS SHOW US THE WAY Review: The message of this book is simple. Be Who You Really Are!!! You are much larger and more powerful than you have been taught to believe. Throw out these dated ideas and embrace, at last, the Truth of your Being. You are the Light, so Be It...:)
Rating: Summary: Conversations with God???? Review: Ugh!! This book was frustrating!! I didn't even want to finish it! Neale Donald Walsch says he is having a converastion with God but really it is just an idealistic converastion he is having with himself, where his higher consciousness debates with his lower consciousness. He has some nice ideas but it's really just one big, long journal entry where he tries to play God. Pretty insulting. This is sappy, pseudo-spiritual stuff.
Rating: Summary: Conversations With God Review: This is my favorite book of all time! It is full of positive ways to look at life!!! It is definitely life-changing...and it will make you smile!
Rating: Summary: full of warm fuzzies but dangerous Review: This is a feel good book that demands nothing of anyone. No morals, no good, no evil. There is some good in it, but there is much that is misleading. Like any good lie it holds a grain of truth to make it beliveable to non-discerning readers looking for an easy way out. I don't doubt the author was talking to someone, I just don't think that it was God. It smacks more of Satan's subtle trickery than of God's goodness. The trouble is what to do with these books now. I can't imagine myself burning them. I certainly don't want them on my bookshelf, and I don't want to donate them to a library or anything and being responsible for anyone else reading them.
Rating: Summary: Finally! Review: Finally, the truths of creation are revealed. Book 1 was only the start, since then I have reads Books 2 & 3, Friendship with God, and Communion with God. The entire series of books is incredible. I only wished these books had been available earlier in my life. I recommend them to anyone and everyone. As soon as my children are old enough to read, I will get them started on them. Thank you
Rating: Summary: Possibly the most "down to earth" religious book ever. Review: I can't tell you if the book is truly a conversation with God, or just the brilliant writings of the author's muse. Either way, you will walk a way with a different perspective on how God works. Much of it makes sense, but, like all religions, you have to take what is told on faith.
Rating: Summary: Ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaahaaaaaaa! Review: I talk to God everyday too but he never has answered me audibly of as such. My prayers get answered in the traditional mysterious way. But I can't accuse Neale for being dishonest, nor could I accuse him of being hit in the head. If God talked to him then I'm showing the 5 star respect. No, I really enjoyed this, and think many have and will.I must highly recommend reading Karl Mark Maddox Book SB 1 or God
Rating: Summary: Great in places but there are better books in the series Review:
For souls with an open mind. Although Book 3 is one of the larger volumes in the excellent Conversations With God series, and there are some fascinating ideas explored here, many of the others (Books 1 and 2, Friendship With God, Tomorrow's God) are more satisfying. I write as a big fan of all of the CWG books which have continued to inspire me over the last few years.
The first chapters are, broadly speaking, given over to a summary of some of the basic themes from the first two books. New insights and perspectives gradually enter the picture as the dialogue between Walsch and God develops. For example, at the beginning of chapter 5 they discuss that Jesus is not the only human to have risen from the dead. "Its happening every day, right now, in your hospitals". Other topics include reincarnation in multiple lifetimes across the space-time continuum (Star Trek and science fiction fans will enjoy this), communication with spirits and highly evolved civilizations. As always with the CWG series, there is a move away from a God who is to be worshipped and feared, and a move towards a God of love with whom we are all one.
Is this really God talking? "Either I am God talking, or this Neale fellow is a pretty bright guy. What's the difference?" (page 112) says it all really!
Rating: Summary: One of the most talked about series! Review: Your opinion of this book will basically be what you want it to be. If you are loyal to the bible and believe anything said that contradicts the bible is of "the devil" then obviously you should not pick up this book because you will no be wanting to challenge your faith. You will spend most of your time trying to find what you disagree about rather than paying attention to the information that you agree about.
However, those who are looking to know more about the God that some believe resides in all of us, would be encouraged to pick up this series.
The people that may want to believe Neale wrote the entire book by himself need to take a closer look at the clairity and logic behind each of the answers given to all of his questions. I personally do not believe Neale is clever enough to come up with the responses given in the book. There is perfection in the answers and a clairity that i cannot find in any other work that i have come across in the past.
Remember however, that any book only proves that it was written and nothing else. No one can prove that the information in any book is from any other source than the writer themself. I implore you to attempt to prove it, since it cannot be done. Therefore you have to look at the actual information in the book and compare it to what you already know, and look inside yourself to find your answer.
God still talks to us, every single one of us. The question is who listens?
