Rating: Summary: Inate truths in the form of words!!!! Review: Not everyone goes with the flow when it comes to organized religion. I for one do not! Believing in something, however, is very important to me and reading this book has substantiated my own personal beliefs. It has articulated what I have been unable to clearly express in words, a deeper belief system very different from what organized religions would have us believe. If you are searching to have validation to your inate knowing, and in addition open up even more glorious knowings of life, then this book is a MUST READ! I enjoyed it so much and went away from it with an incredibly peaceful feeling. It is Truth in the form of words.
Rating: Summary: Take a different approach Review: This book is not for you if you are dedicated follower of any religious faith or order.Buy or read this book if you are open minded and interested in the spiritual side of your being. At times it can be hard going. Read it in short stints and contemplate what you have read. It is a learning tool for your mind. It will help you to understand yourself and your thoughts and intuitions. Don't give up whilst reading it but keep coming back to it as it is worth it in the end. You will begin to understand more about yourself than you could ever dream of.
Rating: Summary: Starting on a new course of self-discovery... Review: If you are just beginning, or have been on, your personal development journey, this is a series of books to read and enjoy. They are stimulating and challenging, and contain spiritual concepts and ideas that you can discuss with acquaintances all over the world. I even recommend these books to my family and friends in Iran - a Moslem culture - to gain new insights into their own beliefs and life experiences! The writing is easy to understand but continually blows you away or challenges you to debate. I would definitely recommend you buy these books as you will want to read them and refer to them again and again. Kudos to Neale for having the courage to write these, and kudos to the publishers! Thanks for giving us some joy in life!
Rating: Summary: Interesting read Review: At first, it's somewhat difficult to NOT be skeptical about the book. Who actually talks to GOD directly? But after reading the book, I do believe that GOD (or whatever you call it) does speak to us in many ways, but we very often choose not to listen. There are many things that this book inspires me to think and do. What excites me the most is that I can relate very well. There are many things covered in the book that I have felt all my life. Although I have been a believer since very young, I never really bought the teachings of modern day Christianity (I'm not familiar with the other religions). I had a lot of trouble with the idea of a "hateful GOD" or Heaven and Hell, etc. I've always thought that those were made up by humans. Why would GOD care personally if you've been a good boy or a bad boy? I also totally buy the idea that we're here to experience and to create. We all ask the question, why are we here? What's the purpose of life? I think to experience, to create, and to love is good enough purpose for me. Good book. Thought provoking. Even life changing.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: What a wonderful, thought provoking book which truly changed my life (I know, this sounds corny -- but it's true). Neale is so clearly genuine, humble and eager to share -- I thank him for his courage to share his writings. I'd also recommend the audio discs. They're excellent!
Rating: Summary: thanks for the dialogue Review: It begins and ends right here. The truth of it all is found between the covers. No need to search any further...the truth is always evident. If you are open to receive this wonderous message, it will transform your life. So get out of your own way, put aside what everyone else has told you about God and listen with your heart and the truth shall set you free. Once and for all, have your own experience with God and not take other people's words for it. There's nothing to do...just read and ask to understand. You will.
Rating: Summary: Not a Christian Book! Review: I found this book in a Christian bookstore, and was shocked to find that in many places it downright contradicts the Bible (which it refers to as "religious mythology") with phrases such as "who said Jesus was perfect anyway." For anyone who is thinking of buying this as a Christian book, think again. The "god" who is apparently talking in this book is not the God of the Bible, but a more Eastern idea of god.
Rating: Summary: conversations with Walsch Review: In this day and age, when god doesn't seem to answer, It is easier to create your own (could be argued we have done this since the dawn of man), Walsch has: his own interpretations of philosophies and religion, quotes and misquotes, politics neatly wrapped up into a rhethorical essay that because he is talking to god, he is right, truely he is god of this book. If there is nothing to discover why do we have to discover what we are not to know what we are. Words are useless? Why write a book. This is pop religion. Easy going, nothing is wrong unless you make it wrong. sugar coated version of the world. If your thoughts attract wrongs, say that to the girl raped, the guy beaten up for his wallet, the couple who lost their child. These are very real tragic events, not metareligious utterings.alot of positive reviews come from disgruntled christians tired of rules and threats of hell. Why you need this book to allow you to do whatever you like is anybodies guess. Afterall you are what you are, you already know what you know, you are god and not so he,meaning I,could know myself in what I have and have not created. [Dang] I should write a book like this and make money.
Rating: Summary: Uncommon Dialogue Review: This is one of those books that gets you thinking and questioning. And I think that's a good thing. Whether it is "god" speaking to him or his subconscious mind, it doesn't really make a difference. Everyone has the voice of wisdom that speaks to them, call it god or your conscience or inner dialogue or the angel on your shoulder. I think Neale just tapped into this source, and I'm glad that he decided to share it. I read the book with a grain of salt (as I do everything) and took from it what I wanted and needed at the time. I don't think you have to agree with everything in a book to find the value in reading it.
Rating: Summary: The Unbelievable Truth Review: I've read the Bible, the Book of Mormom, and even dabbled in Buddism. But in 1997 I read "Conversations" in two days, Immediatley bought book two, and book three when they were released. There is Magic in these words, and I believe they are God-inspired, just as the Bible was. For nay-sayers, this may have been what the original Bible "sciptures" could have read if it was not for King James and and various Vatican priest who edited over 40% of original scriptures. If you let your mind free of pre-convived notions of "God." The words in this book will lift you out of Earths'gravity, and into "heavens arms." Both scientifictly and spritually this book makes sense. Grand Paridgms that the souls live in. The bible doesn't even come close to to explaining the meaning of life and the creation of life itself as this book does, and it holds up on the science end as well. All "religous" people will dismiss this as garbage, or New Age garbble, but it is only becuase they have been brain washed into believing thiers is the ONLY way, a way which doesn't even make sense on the smallest level, i.e. geographically. ( A man that lives in the Jungles of Cambodia won't go to heaven becuase he wasn't baptized, he is punished for being born in a area who has never even heard of Jesus Christ.) Some will say this contradicts the Bible, but the Old Testament condradicts the New, the reason being the new tesatment was written numerous years after the Old, just as this is written numerous years after the New. Human's spirtuality changes as fast as time does. I say this is the Third Testament. If you read all five of Neale Walschs' books you'll never hurt yourself or another one of "gods" creations again. You will live, I mean really live life how you were mean't too, you will live life how you dreamed of, the dream you had before you came to earth. Blessed Be. My thoughts.
