Summary: Jesus is the way, the truth, the life
Review: Plain and simple, this book does not line up with truth, which is found in the bible.

Summary: Someone's been cheating
Review: I'm giving this book 1 star to try to counter whoever it is that has been doing multiple reviews. If you look carefully you'll notice that there are a lot of reviews that give 5 stars that have a similar element. It's the OVERUSE OF CAPITALS for emphasis and it seems to only be in the 5 star reviews. The writing style is similar too. Look for yourselves.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that these reviews are the work of Neale Walsch as a continued marketing exercise.

Summary: You won't find the meaning of life here
Review: Not that I expected to. The story's narrator maintains a dialogue with God and does not really get his questions answered. Most of God's comments are based on Christian/Western philosophies. You won't encounter profoundness here; just remember that it is fiction, and as such you shouldn't take it too seriously.

Summary: Fun and Prevoking
Review: "Conversations" is indeed a unique way of presenting that ever illusive idea of spirituality (God for others). Asner is as close to the voice of God as anyone could be; Bursten lends a deep warmth and touch of humor. Many concepts do indeed require a "leap of faith", but this does not diminish the content and presentation. This set is certainly worth a listen.

Summary: A must re-readable BOOK
Review: I have owned this book for a few years and I have never got that burning desire to read it. The title of the book "Conversations with GOD" in a way put me off, it sounded like an absurd to believe that GOD would chose Neale Donald Walsch pen to answer his questions about LIFE...etc. Last night, finally I have picked up this book and I couldn't put it down until I have finished it. I was astounded at the comments and writings made by "God". I must have highlighted at least 80% of the writings inside, so I could go back and rethink them over and over again. I Would consider this BOOK a belief changer - and that's ALL FOR GOOD - and the last thing I would like to add regarding this book is : "Neale Donald Walsch or Nobody" could be that smart to make such amazing, clear, easy to understand answers about Life - humankind have asked since their existence.
This book is amazing and to prove this statement of mine I'd like to quote just a small part of what "GOD" said in one of his answers you could find inside this book (he won't "sue" me for quoting him publicly as a human being would :)) "IT IS NOTHING WHICH HOLDS THE EVERYTHING. IT IS THE NON-SPACE WHICH HOLDS THE SPACE"...

Summary: if only we had a negative scale.
Review: I'd rank this negative 1 if I could simply because this is New Age mixed in with "Christianity" and other opinions/beliefs. If your beliefs lie with what is written in the Bible then you won't have much use for this book, I sure didn't. I've had the chance to read this book and several others and they contradict what's in the Bible. For example in one of them the author talks about reincarnation, and of course people don't live many lives like this author claims they do. So its very New Age.

Summary: The life-changing conversation begins.
Review: Is Walsch speaking to God in these "dialogues"? Is Walsch addressing the "god" inside himself? Is he just bringing up issues for us to think about? IT DOESN'T MATTER!! Because it WILL make you think -- even if you disagree.

These are brilliant books. CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD, Book 1, is an overview, covering a lot of different areas of life. Once you've conquered the initial concepts of "In the absence of that which is not, that which IS, is not," among other mind-stretchers, you find yourself on a great spiritual adventure. I've listened to all of the CWG audiotapes again and again, but this is my first time reading the unabridged books. There are quotable marvels on just about every page.

For example: "Go ahead and do what you really love to do! Do nothing else! You have so little time. How can you think of wasting a moment doing something for a living you don't like to do? What kind of a living is that? That is not a living, that is a dying!" and "It is far more difficult to deny Who You Are than to accept it. You are goodness and mercy and compassion and understanding. You are peace and joy and light. You are forgiveness and patience, strength and courage, a helper in time of need, a comforter in time of sorrow, a healer in time of injury, a teacher in times of confusion. You are the deepest wisdom and the highest truth; the greatest peace and the grandest love. You are these things. And in moments of your life you have known yourself as these things. Choose now to know yourself as these things always." A positive message! What a relief in this negative world! Wrap your brain around this for a while! I am so grateful for these beautiful books!

Summary: THE AGAPE...
Review: AGAPE is disinterested LOVE...AGAPE does not begin by discriminating worthy and unworthy people, or any qualities people posses. It begins by loving others for their sakes... Therefore, AGAPE makes no distinction between friend and enemy; it directed toward both.

Summary: UNCONDITIONAL LOVE IS WHAT WE NEED!!
Review: The message in this book is about the unconditional love NOT FEAR BASE THEOLOGY. I don't blame this book if it became the best sellers people learned so much from it.

THERE IS NO FEAR IN LOVE, BUT PERFECT LOVE CAST (DRIVES) OUT FEAR BECAUSE FEAR HAS TO DO WITH PUNISHMENT, AND SO ONE WHO FEAR IS NOT YET PERFECT IN LOVE. (1 JOHN 4:18)

GOD IS LOVE, AND WHOEVER REMAINS IN LOVE REMAINS IN GOD AND GOD IN HIM. (1 JOHN 4:16)

The message is so clear about the unconditional love. As you call it PERFECT LOVE!! PRAISE TO YOU NEIL FOR BRINGING IT TO THE LIGHT.
