Rating: Summary: Painful, eye-opener that everyone NEEDS to read Review: I never thought I'd read something more painful than Frank McCourt's "Angela's Ashes", but this tops it. The horror that David Pelzer lived with is unimaginable. I had to rush home to hug my son and make sure he knew that I loved him. David is truly a remarkable person. I'm starting the next in the series tonight. To David: God Bless You.
Rating: Summary: Just like as presented in Montel Show Review: It made me want to meet him and to talk to him and to give him a great big hug and tell him I love him and that Phil /Quinn of Phil Quinn presents has had the exact same problems as he has. iI have noticed that he is very hard to buy, and I would like to n\know how much it costs to present him. SASES have taken 6 to 8 months so far and i'm wondering if I'm doing it right. heleaves phone and fax but at this time I am unable to make long distance calls. Everybody listens in. How do i get the price to present him. Love to all.
Rating: Summary: A Breath-taking Book Review: A book you will not be a ble to put down, it's amazing what some people do to their children.
Rating: Summary: How real this is for a child Review: I read this book and it was a requirement for a class that I have; I am certainly glad that I did. This book is so true to life how some children have to live their lives. The true victims of a crime that is so often overlooked and hidden. In the time that the author grew up so did I. I certainly empathize with him. I would suggest this book to anyone who wants to understand abuse through a childs eye. It is very easy to read and follow but be prepared to shed some tears. Thank you for sharing your life with the world. It is very important.. A reader in Pennsylvania..
Rating: Summary: Intense, painful, self relating, written document of reality Review: I have read all the books written by this author. After the first one I absolutely had to read the rest. So many children are abused; in many degrees As generations continue involved in this behavior, so does the social and court systems continue to add to the pain due to ignorance or lack of motivation to take risks for a greater change.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: This book was a total eye opener. I am very familiar with child abuse and this case and book has really caught my attention. I don't know how many times I have walked by this book and thought I need to buy this. Finally I bought this book and Oh my! I was so shocked and appalled by this book that I just wanted to give Dave a huge hug and ask THE MOTHER why? I give David a huge round of applause because to put up with that much abuse he is a very strong person!!!!! I thought I had a lot of strength but David takes the cake!! I am now reading the second book and am just as shocked. I can't wait until the third book comes out. I need to put closure to this issue.
Rating: Summary: I thought this was a very great book. Review: I thought this book was very sad, i can't beleive anyone could do this to a child. When i was reading this book, sometimes it almost made me cry because of some of the things she did to him. I just couldn't put it down it was so good.
Rating: Summary: A truly inspirational story!!!!! Review: i just finshed reading "A Child Called It" and i was SO moved! i couldnt believe the things that Dave's mother put him through!! i really felt for him, and i would love to give him a big hug for having the courage to survive it all!!! Congrats for your courage Dave! i cant wait to read the sequel! Thank you for such an inspirational story!!
Rating: Summary: This book was so interesting . I cried so much for David. Review: Both this book and The Lost Boy were so good. This book made me hold my children a little tighter . The reality of the abuse is scary . How could a mother ever do these things to her own child, and give the other children all the love in the world. I can't wait for part three.
Rating: Summary: i can't stand it Review: when i red this book,i feel i am dave,it affect me so much that i can't even sleep at night,i sometimes say to myself"if i were this boy i couldn't stand it"i think the book was interesting that made me finsh it a day.
