Summary: Great plane-type read- don't judge it for it's insipid title
Review: I read this book in maybe 4 hours tops and it was very enjoyable.

was it as good as confessions of a shopoholic? no, not quite, because Emma's flaws weren't as clearly defined as Becky's were. As someone who FREQUENTLY does the absolute wrong thing, knowing it's the wrong thing, feeling terrible about doing it and yet doing it just the same (like, for example, reading an entire Sophie Kinsella book in one sitting when I have 4 pages of paper demanding to be written), Kinsella's abilty to catch that kind of compulsive dread in Becky's shopping splurges was just exceptional. This book doesn't have something that resonates quite so forcibly.

HOWEVER, Emma is sweet, Jack is well, the kind of perfect, thoughtful, romantic, funny, handsome RICH man that exists only in chick lit lovels. He's really quite yummy. Emma's friends are lovely, her enemies are wonderfully icky and the humor is consistent and the plot is VERY engaging (read it compulsively in one sitting, no more able to stop myself than becky would have been able to stop herself from buying that second pair of shoes), even if it's not exactly surprising.

Great book for an airplane, beach reading, whatever.

Summary: Can you keep a secret?
Review: I read this book several times, and still it is funny.
Definately a must read book!

Summary: Almost anyone can relate to Emma
Review: Her secrets are ones that I can definitely understand...if not relate to. I just LOVED this book. It had everything - it's funny, witty, intelligent, poignant. Yes, there were a couple moments where I got a little teary-eyed - I could really feel her pain at certain points in the story.

Having read the 'Shopaholic' series, I found Emma to be refreshing and less needy than Rebecca. Her little lies and withholding of information didn't annoy me as much as Becky's.

A very fun read. For all the grown-up girlies out there, time will pass quickly when you're reading this book.

Review: This book was hilarious and another excellent book by Sophie Kinsella. I can hardly wait to read what she writes next! The book grabs you from the beginning and then you don't want to put it down! Very fun and light reading and quite entertaining!

Summary: Can You Keep A Secret REview
Review: I thought this book was great. I've never read any of Sophie Kinsella's books, but now I will. This book made me not want to put it down. If you are looking for a book that has romance, comedy, and drama, this is the book for you.

Summary: FUNNY GIRLY PINK BOOK
Review: I read fast because it was very funny and entertaning. Indeed, it was a girlie book ... what can you expect of a book with a bright pink cover? However, I found it very entertaining and hilarious. I read it as I walked on the treadmill, and I found myself laughing out loud.

Summary: Hillarious Secrets!!
Review: Sophie Kinsella has done it again. If you're a huge fan of the Shopaholic series like myself, then you are bound to enjoy this one. You might be able to guess the ending at the halfway point, but it's still a hillarious, laugh-out-loud story and the secret-keeper, Emma, is a lot more plausible than most chick lit female leads.

The best parts are the embarrassing office scenes with Jack Harper, because they make you cringe for poor Emma. The boring market-research obsessed boyfriend is also very plausible. This is one of the best chick lit books of the year. It definitely lives up to the previous books.

Summary: entertaining and witty
Review: I borrowed this book from my sister after hearing her laugh through the entirety of her reading it. I've got to say, she was right, I've never laughed so hard from a piece of literature. In fact, I enjoyed this book so much that I lent it to 4 girls that lived in my dorm, we all loved it, and would recommend it to ANYONE and EVERYONE. It was a refreshing change of pace from the boring textbooks and "classic" literature I had been reading.

Summary: Darling?
Review: There were two moments that epitomized this book for me. The first was when Ken told Emma that they should call each other darling. I burst out laughing. The second was when the author expressed Emma's horror at walking in on her rommate and dance partner in the flesh-colored leotards. Fantastic. Great bits. Sophie Kinsella should have been a Sex and the City writer.

Summary: A Definite Chick Pick!
Review: I was so anxious to read the newest of Sophie Kinsella's books, after having read the Shopaholic Trio. I was not disappointed...only in the fact that we have to wait for yet another of her books to be published. She can't crank 'em out fast enough as far as I'm concerned! She has become one of my favorite authors.
Sit down, relax & enjoy away.
