Summary: Artemis Fowl
Review: Couldn't get beyond the first couple of chapters. I kept rereading the same thing because it kept losing me. I'm really not that bad a reader so I figure it was the lack of purpose, unpleasant characters, phony dialogue and unsuccessful attempts at humor that made me lose interest.

Summary: Artemis Brings Joy to the Long Days of a Harry Potter fan...
Review: Artemis, quick, smart, and eager to rule the world, is trying his biggest stunt yet; to steal secrets from the elusive and technologically advanced Fairies in order to restore his family's lost fortune.
But Artemis does not fully understand the modern day fairies: the ones with guns and biological time weapons, not to mention all kinds of handy gadgets. Not sound like your cup of tea? Throw in Captain Holly Short of the LEP program--the first female fairy to reach her rank. Nothing like a strong female heroine to make a book worth reading...and nothing like one to stop the plans of everyone's favorite 12 year old criminal genius.
This book is not for people who do not have a sharp mind that can keep pace with the very military fairies and their general on-goings, and readers will definitely not know which side to root for. Overall, a book you won't want to miss for the world.

Summary: What fun!
Review: I picked this book up in Ireland with my niece in mind. Started reading it, and I was hooked. The author loves his nasty characters, which makes the reader love them as well. A terrific blend of the modern and the ancient, written with a twinkle in the eye--keeps you turning the pages and laughing.

Summary: Artemis Fowl
Review: The book starts off when a clever, twelve-year-old boy named Artemis Fowl meets Nguyen Xuan to ask for the whereabouts of a sprite, who possesses the Book. After obtaining the Book, Artemis deciphers its foreign language, quickly understanding its contents. He later captures an elf of the LEPrecon Special Forces and keeps her as a hostage. He expects to be paid a ransom of one ton of twenty-four-carat gold. Artemis and his butlers battle the fairy society with brains and strategies. In the end, however, in exchange for the elf, Artemis receives the ransom, but bargains half of it for a wish from the elf. In addition, using his brains, Artemis avoids being blown up by a bomb, and the fairy squad, thinking Artemis is long gone searches his house for the rest of the gold. Circumstances forced them to retreat without it. Artemis ends up with the remaining gold, and his mother, who was ill in the beginning, is relieved of her sickness due to the one wish.

I truly recommend this book to anyone because of its marvelous plot. It contains magic, fairies, and thrilling action and suspense. It includes a boy with clever brains who always happens to be two steps further than everyone else. The book also happens to be fascinating and exciting at the same time.

My favorite part of the story happens to be when Artemis' butler, Butler, engages in a fight with a massive troll. Although he encounters fatal wounds, broken bones, and unconsciousness, Holly Short, the elf and hostage, uses her magic to revive and heal him. Butler then regains his strength and destroys the annoying troll. Honestly, the whole story seems to be my favorite part.

Summary: Truly Amazing:)
Review: This book is amazing, I could list a whole load of words down here to describe it, but I think amazing suits it perfectly, if you haven't yet read it, or are planning on reading it, I urge you to do so, it really is a fantastic book, if it was possible, I would have given this book TEN stars out of five.
This is book is nearly as good as 'The Amber Spyglass' By Philip Pullman, and BETTER than the 'Harry Potter' books!!!!!!!(By J.K Rowling) I truly admire Eoin Colfer, congratulations, Mr. Colfer, on writing such a *think of the best word you can to put here* book!

"I wish I hadn't read it, so I could read it again." says Maisie, 11 year old girl from England;)

Summary: Artemis Fowl
Review: The book I read was Atremis Fowl, written by Eilon Colfer. It is about a 12-year-old boy who tries to steal gold from fairies. The story was just ok. It was kind of boring. My favorite character was Mr. Butler, Artemis's bodyguard. The story took place in England. I would recommend this book to a friend because the ending is exciting.
