Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Poorly written and unrealistic
Review: No one is all bad or all good. I wish someone had told Ms. Steel that before she began writing this book. The characters throughout the book are exceedingly unbelievable, with the main character's mother being the Devil Incarnate. The book was tolerable and elicited a gasp from me in one place, so I grudgingly gave it two stars instead of just one.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I wanted to give it a 5 but couldn't
Review: This book was really a surprise for me. I read a lot of D.S's earlier books and they started to seem for the most part some family different story line. First I was amazed this book was totally different. I had so many emotions through it I was going crazy, but couldn't put it down. I really wanted some kind of justice in the end but maybe there was for Gabbie but not for me. I loved the convent part, although Mother Superior surprised me in the end. I would recommend this book to individuals who really likes to get involved in a good book because this one will have you hopping.

Summary: What a story!
Review: I really enjoyed this book, although I have to admit I almost put it down after reading the first chapter because I couldn't handle the abuse she received. I really enjoyed the part in the convent, I found it very interesting and informative. The only part I disliked was that Gabbie wasn't able to face her mother in the end. Although I know Gabbie wasn't the type to "get even", I was hoping her mother would have been made accountable for her horendous behaviour while she was still alive.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Typical Steele - followed her formula to the letter
Review: If you've read her other books, you could have written this one yourself. I could absolutely put this one down, because it is so depressing, and one tragic episode after another - the minute something good starts happening you can predict what will be next. I wouldn't recommend this if you've read all her others, but if you haven't, and enjoy tragedy than this is great!!

Summary: My head hurt from all the tears I cried!!!!!
Review: I can`t put into words how good this book was!!! I couldn`t put it down, the beginning was hard to get through simply because I`m sure this does happen even though I`d like to believe it doesn`t!!! For her to come through it like she did was powerful, she had so many down`s instead of ups I kept waiting for some kind of small miracle to happen!!Danielle Steel has me wanting a part two!!!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Tearjerker!
Review: I have never read a better book so far. I cried so hard I had to stop reading at times. It is such a sad book but at the same time Beautifle. It is a story of the hardship of child abuse. And working through the pain and coming out in the end a surviver and a stronger person. I can really express what I feel about this book because it touched me to deeply. All I can say is that you should read this book and you wont regret it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!
Review: I couldn't put it down. This book was very moving. Gabriella's pain could really be felt. I wondered if Danielle Steele was writing from a first hand experience. Child abuse is a very horrid thing, but I do believe that it can be overcome with the help of God and people who the victim can really trust. The ending was a bit fairytale, but who's to say that it can't happen.?!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best book of the year.
Review: THE LONG ROAD HOME shows that even though someone goes through years of abuse they can in time get their lives back on track and can survive. This is a very moving story and I highly recomend it. I read it in one day I just could not put it down.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: It was not quite what I expected
Review: I really enjoyed the first part of the book, as always Danielle Steel does a wonderful job building up the story, unfortunately, I felt it lacked something at the end. I really wanted "Gabbie" to stand up to the jerk. I felt the ending was also a little predictable but overall, it was a good read and worth the time spent.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: TOTALLLY moving
Review: This book is possibly the most moving book I have ever read in my life! Definitely one of the best books I've read this year.
