Summary: Heartwrenching, extrordinary
Review: I just finished this book and I believe it was one of her best ever. It had my attention from the very beginning and never lost it's grasp. She brought all the pain and suffering to light about abused children. It was a story that had me crying from the beginning and wanting to cheer by the end for a girl who had the strength to never give up. It was exceptional. Bravo.

Summary: Excellent story
Review: This was one of Steel's best in years. I read this book in one day and passed it on to my family who loved it!!!!

Summary: heart-wrenching
Review: this book, i'd say is one of her best because steel relates to issues that have been ignored or neglected. people automatically assume that just b/c they love their own children, there wouldn't be parents out there who beat them to death. the people who thought that it was a bit overdone or greatly exaggerated, well, listen up! it isn't. there are sicko's out there for you to see...its just that we dont notice 'em until the victims say their own story....which is very rare. i personally have heard and seen such abuse in shelters for battered women and children. i thnk steel is a wonderful author with a deep insight into alot of matters that other authors would not dare touch. her books are realistic....if you dont like 'em...well, too bad ...i believe in living in reality, not fantasy land. This book and alot of her others, believe me, are definitely realistic

Summary: Excellent, Danielle Steel is one of the best authors.
Review: I read my first Danielle Steel novel, and I sure an glad that I did. This is not a mystery, but somehow this touched me inside. Poor Gabriella, the main character in the book, was beautiful and talented, but she was always betrayed or rejected by someone she knows (her mother, father, and 2 boyfriends). Let me just say, this story made me sad, and now I can truly tell how much writing talent Danielle Steel has. Great job!

Summary: The best of Danielle Steel's book that I have read so far!!!
Review: The Long Road Home is one of the most touching novels written by Danielle Steel. I have read many of her books; but this one is definitely a winner. So real, so emotinal, so vivid -- it made me cry. I could not help to shed tears of compassion and of sorrow for the little girl, the main character of this novel. Suddenly nothing else mattered to me, just her fate. I read all night long until I discovered the resolution. This book promotes some real issues relating to children. Definitely a 5-star winner!!! Thank you, Danielle Steel!! You are my favorite author!!

Summary: long bumpy ride home!
Review: This book really inspired me, as much as I wanted to believe that it was fiction and a bit over done I still at the back of my mind know that there are plenty of children who sadly unfortunately grow up in that way! This was the book that set me off reading, it kept me up all night and it was worth it too!!! it was a really involving book and left me wanting to know what happened after it ended. I'd reccomend this to anyone who liked something as touching and as different as this. Way to go!

Summary: I just don't know...
Review: This is the first Danielle Steel novel I have ever read, and I dislike it more than I like it. The plot, although slightly unbelievable, was interesting. I cared about some of the characters and their situations. The writing was surprisingly good, at times. But I did feel it was unrealistic. How many problems can one girl go through in 23 years of life? She had some BAD luck meeting the WRONG people... Some of the writing was bad, just as some of the writing was good. I could sense when she was hurrying through a particular passage or scene. All in all, I'll probably read another...but I wasn't terribly impressed.

Summary: The best novel I have ever read
Review: In this novel Danielle Steel touched my heart. It was the best book ever, and trust me when I like a book, i really like it. While reading the book I could picture myself in the place of Gabriella. She is a strong woman and I praise Danielle Steel for recognizing the poor children who are abused everyday.
