Summary: True to Form
Review: For all you Danielle Steele lovers this has got to be one of her best books to date. I cried from beginning to end. She captures her audience's attention right from the first line. You will not be disappointed. Child abuse has got to be one of the worse crimes amongst the most vunerable of our society.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I loved it, although, I felt the ending was little weak.
Review: I really enjoyed reading The Long Road Home, although I feel that Danielle Steel "wimped out" in the end where Gabrielle goes to meet her mother (I won't say any more than that so I don't ruin it for people who have not read the book)...I would, however, recommend it to friends...Enjoy!!

Summary: I couldn't put it down...!
Review: I am a huge fan of Danielle Steele. This is undoubtedly one of her best novels yet. I could hardly put it down. She has a talent for writing about the human soul. I think that's what makes her so good. Read this book, it will really touch your heart!

Summary: uncomfortable must necessary reading
Review: This was book was very hard for me to get into, because of the topic involved. It literally made me sick to my stomach to read about a little human being being abused. BUT it seems to happen more often than we want to think about. A very good book!.

Summary: Who wrote this book?
Review: I have read almost all of her books and as light reading have forgotten them within a week. But I have not forgotten THE LONG ROAD HOME! It is not written in her normal manner of short, simplistic sentences and the plot is more complex than any other she has written. I gave my copy to a friend to read and she made the same comment, "Who wrote this?". END

Summary: If you liked The Ranch you will love this.
Review: Danielle Steele has out done herself in The Long Road Home. I found myself cheering Gabbie, the main character, on in her life. I could not put the book down. I even took it to work just so I could read a page or two on a 15 minute break. I haven't enjoyed a book so much since the first time I read Palomino. Thank you Danielle Steele for a marvelous book. I look forward to the next one.

Summary: A great sense of pain followed by an equal sense of hope
Review: Danielle Steele's very best book to date!

As a victum of childhood abuse by a cousin I related to Gabby's pain, fear and bottomless sense of low self esteem, I felt the emotional development of of her talent, unrecognized strength and self esteem.

The sense of hope and empowerment given in Danielle Steeles POWERFUL novel would be an inspiration to anyone who comes from similar circumstances.

Summary: Danielle Steel's best book yet...
Review: This book brought tears to my eyes. I am an avid fan of Steel's, and am able to finish her books in one sitting, but this book took strength and courage to complete. Her story was thought provoking and heartbreaking. People need to become aware of the cruelties of life, and not take a "back seat" to abused children. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
