Summary: Very primitive! The worst book I have ever read.
Review: I am surprised how many people wrote positive reviews to this book. It was the worst book I have ever read. Danielle Steel does not want her readers to think or use their imagination even for a second. All emotions and actions of people are spelled out for the reader. The story is very primitive. Everybody in it is either a pure devil or an angel. Is the book supposed to be a fairy tale or a real life story?

Summary: This is a very powerful story
Review: The story of Gabrielle is one of the most touching stories I have ever read. For someone to go through what she went through and come out okay is a miracle. This story really made me think about Child abuse and what it does to not only the child, but the entire family. This is one of Danielle Steel's best books.

Summary: Here is the Danielle Steel that I know and love.......
Review: After reading all of the great reviews that this book has gotten, I decided to get it from the library. This book was awesome!! I felt myself tearing up at different times beacuse there is so much raw emotion in this book. Gabriella Harrison is a child born into great priviledge. If you consider a heartless, cruel mother and a spineless father a priviledge. (Somehow I always thought of people with money and aristocratic backgrounds to have better manners and child rearing ways. Go figure!) It really amazed me to realize how cruel a person can be to another person. Gabriella has an undeniable survivor's instinct that serves her well. From her life at home, in the convent, to the boardinghouse, her remarkable spirit comes shining through. There are alot of personalities that you can easily recognise in some of the people that you come into contact with everyday. How Gabby comes to see them and to deal with them is truly remarkable. Danielle Steel has easily outdone herself with this book. Bravo!!

Summary: Heart-wrenching
Review: I read this book in two days, very hard to put down. The idea that two parents could be so insensitive and inhuman really pulled at every emotion in my soul. Please continue with all the great writings.

Summary: A Surprising Twist
Review: This is a little different than what D.S. usually does. Starting out the book with child abuse was surprising. I kept waiting and stayed patient. After the abuse stopped, the book got MUCH better. Many Catholics probably will not like the fact that a "nun-in-training" gets involved with a priest. Being Catholic myself, I didn't have a problem with this, because I don't believe priests should be required to live their lives the way they are told to. I would recommend this book to a lot of people.

Summary: So good, you'll wish it never ends!!!
Review: The Long Road Home is a wonderful book. All of DS books are good with the exception of one or two, but this one was one of my favorites. Gabriella is a beautiful child who is beaten repeatedly by her mother while her father watches. He father leaves her mother, and her mother decides to remarry. She sends Gabrielle to a convent to be taken care of. Gabrielle decides that being a nun is her calling until a young priest captures her heart. This book is so good. Make sure you have a lot of time to read when you start it, because you'll never put it down. DS deserves a ten for this one and also The Ranch.

Summary: the most heart renching one of her books
Review: the long road home had me crying feeling angry about what the mother did to her and also the father not doing anything about it and also long road home had me feeling so happy that she was able to make a life for her self and put the past behind her.

Summary: A MUST READ!!!
Review: At long last, the vintage Danielle Steele novel has returned. After being slightly disappointed by some of her more recent books, I was unexpectedly surprised by this one. The story was captivating and heart-wrenching to the very end. Please give us more books like this one, in the same tradition as the earlier books such as "Palomino" and "The Ring".

Rating: 5 stars
