Summary: Unconventional Political Science in Favor of the Democrats
Review: "Dude Where's My Country" is not your average political science book by any means. And Michael Moore is not your average political scientist, as you may have found out from reading his previous hit "Stupid White Men...". The thing that is easy to like about Mike Moore is his humor. This book is quite simply one of the easiest books to read on the subject. It's light, it's satirical, and it's very personal.

"Dude Where's My Country" is far from being flawless, however. While he brings up very good points in his endless rants against the rightwing society of corrupt businessmen, his style becomes a little redundant, and you may begin to realize that the only thing really keeping you interested is the stuff that isn't exactly politics.

However, I should not be one to forego the amount of political information that really is inside of this book. There happens to be one chapter where he simply laments about a futuristic world where the lack of oil has caused an insane amount of people to die. Needless to say, it's rather dumb. But other than that, left-wingers that really want to know more about the Bush administration will be delighted to take in these heavy dosages of character assassination (though in a completely justifiable format).

Moore doesn't hold any punches, and that's what a lot of people are going to love about this book.

Summary: 1 star - and that's being generous!
Review: Michael Moore, here are a few words of advice: Take a shower, lose some weight, shave once in a while, and, most importantly, stop writing stupid books and making fallacious movies.

To everyone else: For a better read, pick up something by someone who hasn't been brainwashed. And maybe listen to a Led Zep CD or something! Then watch the O'Reilly Factor and FoxNews. Just my advice

Summary: Amusing
Review: Ignorance is bliss and that pretty much explains why this book sells. People believe anything that is published. No facts, pure bias and opinion. I read two chapters and sold the book on ebay. Obviously i'm not a pure unquestioned right-winger since I bought the book. I believe in facts and research, not opinion. The book pinpoints and streamlines the typical media bias, brainwashing and filtering of facts. If you are a braindead, DON'T-HAVE-MY-OWN-OPINION dopey liberal, you'll enjoy the book. If you want to waste your money go ahead, you have my blessings.

Summary: Very entertaining, very enlightening, but....
Review: This is a very good book. It is humorous. It has a lot of political facts that the mainstream media likes to ignore. However, it is VERY obvious that Michael Moore is a Democrat. Moore would like to place all the blame of American political and intelligence failures squarely at the feet of the Republican party. The sad fact is, BOTH parties have failed America. He states that the Clinton impeachment was "just about a stain on a blue dress." Sorry Mr. Moore, but you obviously overlooked "Chinagate." Before you blame all Republicans for simply being "stupid white men" you need to research some of the things your Democrat heroes have done. You will be none too happy.

Mr. Moore, you are "almost there" -- once you realize that there is not a dime's worth of difference between the Republican and Democratic parties (in the words of George Wallace) you will get it right.

Summary: Michael Moore... Keep giving us More!
Review: How can anyone seriously believe that Michael Moore makes all this up with the overwhelming sources he's noted in this book? For god sake, I think half the book is filled with cited references alone... Yes, I suppose you could argue the integrity of the references, but at least you can see where he's referencing his material and NOT making anything up.
Extreme conservatives, such as Michael Savage and the ultra scary Ann Coulter love to depict Michael Moore as the biggest nutcase existing today... I actually heard Michael Savage on his radio show review this book as by saying, "Michael Moore's new book, Dude, Where's My Country. Com'on? What kind of title is that? Duuuuude, Where's My Country?"
Was he trying to make Michael Moore look second class by using the word "Dude?" Obviously, he doesn't understand the pun of title, from the movie, "Dude, Where's My Car?" Where Michael Moore states in "Stupid White Men," that the movie can tell Kim Jong II everything he needs to know about America...

Regardless... This book makes you laugh, it makes you realize facts you may have missed, and it makes you feel pain and anger from the issues Michael Moore uniquely points out.
Who can seriously argue that Michael Moore is a man that loves to create chaos and stir up the pot just to get attention as a "nutcase" by the media?
Michael Moore is a true patriot, who isn't scared to fight for real change. It goes to show that the people who actually care and are honest, become ridiculed and hated by the mainstream because saying "how it is," sounds too horrible, so it must be considered false for those who wish to maintain a positive "we love to you smile" outlook.
My only questionable argument with the book is Michael Moore's persistence in seriously believing Oprah would make a good President. Though I think he makes it out as a joke in a way, I think...
Anyway, this book reads extremely fast, assigning a week or two will give you enough time to fully enjoy.
Thank you Michael Moore for are your efforts!

Summary: Amusing
Review: This book was amusing. I laughed, and generally was interested in what hateful spew Michael would spout on about next. I went through the book in just a few days, so it kept my attention, and as I said, entertained me, as a work of fiction should.
I recommend this book for anybody looking for pure entertainment. Take the message with a grain of salt, but enjoy the laughs and humour. Worth the read.

Summary: Buck Fush!!!
Review: Michael Moore has done it again. Thank God he's around and making us laugh while we are crying out in anguish in these Dark Times. And thank God we still (yet!) live in a country that has a 1st Amendment in its constitution. I hope to God this book and others like it will help to send Bush & Co. packing this coming November. Amen Brother!

Summary: He's a liar
Review: Do people not realize how much of this he makes up? He's admitted to fabricating information and yet this book continues to sell. I give up trying to understand why false political propaganda is given so much credence.

Summary: Required writhing for all Americans
Review: What a brilliant guy telling us all what is wrong with America conspiracies and all and getting no thing out of it. He is best since Thomas Jeffson and has references to prove it.

Summary: Required reeding for all Americans
Review: While some of the details and stats need confirmation, I think the spirit and the message of this book is much needed for us the the brain washed by corporate america Americans.
