Summary: Good
Review: I found this of interest. Some things might require further reading elsewhere to get the full info needed. But this is a good overview of some basic financial and "people" principles. To those who complain that there is a lot of stuff he says over and over in the book, Kiyosaki himself says that "the key to learning is repetition." If you want to know how to play the piano, you have to play the scales until you're sick of them. So there is a method at work here. Kiyosaki on an audio tape that accompanies his board game (mentioned in the book) relates how he started his first velcro/surfer wallet business that made him a millionaire...and that also, later, went under so that he and his wife ended up broke and homeless. He went and saw his Rich Dad after his company went under, and his Rich Dad yelled at him, so that "his secretaries were diving for cover." He told Kiyosaki, "You don't listen. I told you the principles to running a business, and if you had listened, your company wouldn't have folded." He didn't talk to his Rich Dad until 5 or 6 years later, when he had started to regain some wealth, and his Rich Dad said, "Now you understand, don't you?" Kiyosaki said, "Yes." Kiyosaki went broke not heeding basic principles, and that is why he repeats those basic prinicples over and over in this book so YOU won't go broke.

Summary: Good first half... not-so-good second half...
Review: the first half of the book was fun to read... basically bridges off his previous book (RICH DAD POOR DAD), which i suggest you read before reading this book.

the second half was a little boring, primarily due to the fact that i have read THINK AND GROW RICH (by napoleon hill)...

so, read the first half of kiyosaki's book, then read napoleon's completely...

if you have the desire, motivation and courage to apply both books to your life you will be... whatever you wish to be.

enjoy!

Summary: Not really worth the time to read it
Review: The book was vague without any specific advice, and just kept repeating the same mantras over and over again. Also, I don't find him very credible as an investment advisor since he made his money not by investing, but by giving investment seminars and writing investment advice books.

Summary: No Money Down?
Review: About 20 Years ago a book was published entitled "No Money Down." It told how to get rich investing in real estate. Sequels were written and seminars were held. But, did the book change the financial standing of people that read the book? For the vast majority the answer was a resounding no. Did people get in to financial trouble following the advice in the book? I bet some did. Mr. Kiyoski's book is another in the long line of get rich books that tell you some of the basic overlying principles of acquiring financial freedom. In my opinion, however, better investment guides abound. Do a search here at Amazon to uncover quite a few. Any book by Peter Lynch or the Motley Fool books are good examples. It's not that Mr. Kiyoski's book is a bad book. It's that I think there are much better investment books to be had. It also seems that Mr.Kiyoski tells people who attend his seminars to go to Amazon.com and vote against reviews that aren't favorable to his book.

Summary: good
Review: This has helpful information. A lot of it is how to run a business, but, as he says, when you invest in a stock, you're investing in a business, so you better know how to run a business, so you can identify a good stock. One thing I, personally, found helpful--and not everyone will relate--is that Kiyosaki used to be painfully shy. I've got a shy streak. Kiyosaki became rich despite his shyness, by overcoming it to a large degree, so maybe there is hope for timid folks, too, of becoming wealthy. (I saw Kiyosaki yesterday on "Oprah" and he still has some shyness in him, that I found endearing...and he is still filthy rich.)

Summary: Good, commonsense advice; a little flaky
Review: This book extends the "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" toolkit with a reasonable degree of success. The foundation is similar (don't waste your money, think about total income and total cost, etc.), but this tacks on a fair amount of investment advice, explaining which assets are good and which aren't. To make a long story short, Kiyoski promotes cashflow at the expense of nominal income. This makes sense in some ways: simply owning a house that is theoretically appreciating in value may or may not be helpful to you, if you're never planning to sell it. On the other hand, it needs to be taken carefully, since most of us realize most of our investment gains from capital gains in one form or another.

So, read this book for the commonsense lifestyle adjustments, and enjoy the investment sections, but treat them with caution.

Summary: Rich Dad's Guide to Investing
Review: A prime example of how to make money selling books without providing a single iota of useful information. The "Rich Dad's Guide to Investing" is much more about lining the author's pockets than the readers. If you need some expensive bathroom tissue, please buy this book!

Summary: He did it again
Review: A wonderful sequel to Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Cashflow Quadrant, two books that have completely changed the way I look at money. I've noticed that some reviewers on this board are impatient with Robert's style. No doubt he repeats himself at various points, but it is totally unfair to claim that Rich Dad's Guide to Investing is just a repeat. Here in this work he expands on ideas he brought up in his previous two books. Further, since these ideas are so important, I don't mind even if he repeats them, because it takes time for them to sink into our minds. The bottom line is that if you enjoy his two previous works, then you should buy this one.

Summary: Become the Inside Investor and BE in the Business Owner Quad
Review: Elegant piece of artwork for inspiring real estate investors, business owners, computer trainers, nlp trainers and future inside investors! This book provides the great business plan for future infopreneurs who will dare to live in the business Quadrant and become true blue inside investors! Great book, I wished I had read this before I started my grad program. I learned a lot about 90/10 riddle; and love this extra exercise to make myself think even more about creating Cashflow for myself and others. I'm in the process of creating a Cashflow group of players in the Detroit Area. I've read both Rich Dad, Poor Dad; and Cashflow Quadrant. If you had not read these books, you will be lost in Kiyosaki's paradigm of Finance. I've had a failed real estate business in the past 2 years; I wish had this knowledge before I started. I'm now getting psyched to return and create another and better business; I'm currently rehabbing a home; and I've found another equity investor. Robert's book will truly inspire you to take control of your financial life. He has vivid examples that will truly teach you; He is a great teacher and has interesting ideas that will challenge you to create your brighter future. I'm looking forward to more installments and hopefully meeting Robert K. when I visit Hawaii with my family in the future. He's the new Charles Givens and Russ Whitney of business self help books; His book will empower you to go to the next level of life. Robert could possibly be the next Think and Growth Rich Guru. In the later chapters, you will encounter business systems theory. I've seen Robert on Oprah, and you'll learn he has something real to say all those future billionaires. Financial Independence which is also a concept of Your Money or Your Life, another fabulous book. FI is a big focus in this book. The goal is to move from being Employed and Self-Employed Quadrants to the Business and Investors Quadrant. Robert Kiyosaki will teach, inspire and motivate you to go to these two quadrants. He explains with clarity of mind, body and soul. His words will entertain you and give you a brand new perspective similar to Sting's Brand New Day song. Fresh Business Psychology, and Business Systems Mastery for those wanting to create a change in their working life. Drop the Job and Build Businesses! Now, I'm off to acquire Assets If you read this, you will acquire Assets with tenacious resolve. One may imagine learning even more about Financial Independence to become the Ultimate Investor,now... Mabuhay!

Summary: save your money
Review: This book is just another rehash of Rich Dad, and Cash Flow Quadrant, and since both of those books were abysmally bad, there's certainly nothing here of use to anyone. I don't want to quash anybody's entepreneurial spirit and try to discourage people from starting businesses, inventing things etc. but the overwhelming majority of us will not atttain wealth in that way. We will become rich by being frugal, working hard, and saving and investing as much money as possible. In any event, there's no practical information in these books to help a budding inventor or entepreneur anyway. There's no help here for someone who wants to start a business. Like the first two books, there's almost no useful information here at all. If you really want to read this authors books take them out of your local library or borrow them from someone. Don't waste your money.
