Rating: Summary: Always Enjoyable Review: Classic in every sense of the word. This book is unique because not only is it enjoyed by both children and adults, but it's enjoyed by both in much the same way.
Rating: Summary: This is my favorite movie I have every seen!!! I LOVE IT!!!! Review: Ever since I watched this movie on CBS (and taped it) when I was about 4 years old I fell in love with it. I think it is alot better than the Disney one. The little girl that plays Alice (Natalie Gegory) is full of delight, smiles, singing and joy. I LOVE IT!!! Well that is all that I really have to say about it :) I hope you choose to buy this movie for yourself or your kids, because I know that everyone will love it!
Rating: Summary: Exquisite rendering of text by narrator Patricia Routledge Review: Patricia Routledge gives Alice and her friends their own voices. They are very much alive and temperamental and very lovable because of their idiosyncracies. Anyone can obtain an audio cassette of a generic reading; I won't settle for less than Patricia Routlege's,unabrigded.
Rating: Summary: Inadequate info in listing Review: I was disappointed to see no relevant information about this cassette -- just comments about print editions, with which most people should be familiar. (I have both an annotated hardcover edition and a paperback edition.) This listing tells nothing of the length (in minutes), the number of cassettes, or the cast. I strongly recommend the Alice books for anyone of any age with a sense of humor, or with an interest in logic or math. But I won't consider buying a cassette if I can't find out any relevant info.
Rating: Summary: kicks *** Review: The catapillar is the single most intriguing character in the history of literature. Alice in Wonderland is an awesome story that shows incredible creativity. I have loved this story since I was a little girl. Truly it has added color to the way I view literature.
Rating: Summary: This book is a wonderful book Review: This book is almost like a dream. The way Lewis Carol sweeps you out of your world and into Alice's is simply wonderful.Inside this book of dreams are alot of details about how life was back then, they're just not straight forward.I think this book is appropriate for every age.
Rating: Summary: Best created fictional world that represents the real one!!! Review: This is one of the best boks to ever use imaginary animal characters to represent the actual world. It includes the common society problems which come about in everyday basis, but in an imaginary childrens world.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Wonderful! Review: This book is delightfully chock-full of nonsense! Every one of the characters, places, and events are imaginative. Poor Alice is whisked away from a dignified and proper world to a world where nothing makes sense. The poems she encounters or recites herself are so odd, yet hilarious and sometimes fitting to the occasion. The charcters are whimsical and somehow all the events seem intertwined yet so much like a dream. This is an absolutely wonderful book for ANYONE!
Rating: Summary: This book is great. Review: This book is great for all kids. It would be a shame if a kid grew up without reading this book at least once.
Rating: Summary: Both stories are very good and funny. Review: In Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Alice has a dream that she goes to Wonderland, where she has many adventures with the Dutchess, Mad Hatter & Hare, the Cheshire Cat,Queen of Hearts,& many others. In Through the Looking-glass, Alice wants to be a queen with the Red and White Queens. To be a queen ,Alice has to pass the 8 squares.
