Summary: Well written but obvious killer...
Review: Actually I very much enjoyed reading this book. I had a hard time putting it down. Roberts has a wonderful way of showing detail and making you feel a part of the story. It kept me very interested. I only rated a 4 star because not only was this book so similar to others written by her, I picked the killer out immediately. Perhaps the reason for this was because I am used to her writing. All around however, it was very entertaining. Roberts uses quite a bit of humor in this book and I loved the two main characters and their love story. One thing I liked was that he admitted his love so early (even before her) which is uncommon anyway, but I think I liked that change from most of her other books. Well worth the hours of reading.

Summary: River's End by Nora Roberts
Review: This is the first book I read by Nora Roberts. I am not usually a murder mystery fan and quite frankly did not know that that is what this book was about, but I could not put the book down. The author's style is so mesmorizing! It's impossible not to love or hate the characters. You get to know them intimately. This book hooked me on Nora Roberts and wanting to read more.

Summary: Couldn't put this one down
Review: I loved this book. I could hardly put it down. And I loved Noah. He was so...perfect. Olivia grated on my nerves alittle bit, but I loved their romance. I didn't guess who the killer was and actually had 3 other people above the actual killer. It was a great read and I couldn't wait to get to the end to see who it was. This is only my 3rd Nora Roberts book, but I have ordered many more and can't wait to read them.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Entertaining, but the whole story moved a little too slowly
Review: River's End is a good book to read if you want to escape daily life. It is a little slow throughout the entire book, and the plot isn't as strong as in some of Nora Roberts' other books. If you haven't read 'The Reef', I would suggest reading that instead. The plot moves a lot quicker, and the characters have more depth.

Summary: Best Nora Roberts I ever read
Review: I have read all of Nora Roberts' books, and this I believe is the best. I haven't had much time to read lately, but this book was so compelling I finished it rather quickly. I enjoyed the mix of suspense and drama, and also the love interest in the story. I didn't even read ahead to find out who the real killer was, which is something I do if the book is boring. It was not boring, it was imaginative, and also very believable.

I enjoyed reading this book immensely.

Summary: Very Good but not fresh
Review: i am a huge Nora Roberts fan and was excited to read this book. However, it disappointed me. I have always admired Nora Roberts for her ability to have a new story everytime. This story was so similar to another of hers where a girl grows up as a Rock stars kid and has her baby brother kidnapped by a "monster" and then falls in loved with the cop's handsome son who wants to discover the truth years later. I can't remember the name of that book, but it was so similar to this one that I couldn't help but compare everything. However, the suspense was terrific, and the romance enthralling. A good book, overall.

Summary: Another predictable outing from Nora Roberts
Review: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. So, I must be insane or I wouldn't keep buying Nora Roberts' books expecting something fresh and exciting only to be disappointed when I get another by-the-numbers story that's a carbon copy of everything else she's written. As with all her recent hardcover single-title releases, the murderer is completely obvious early on and the rest of the book is devoted to a run-of-the-mill romance that's Roberts' stock in trade. Don't get me wrong, I've liked many Roberts titles, i.e. Sacred Sins, Brazen Virtue, the Born in and Quinn Brothers trilogies as well as the MacKade Brothers. However, she just doesn't know how to sustain suspense through 400 pages and add in an interesting romance. I know I'm in the minority here and her legion of fans will continue to buy anything with her name on it----I just wish she'd change the formula once in a while.

Summary: Yawn!
Review: This book was not worth the time I spent reading it or the money I paid for it. I found Roberts' overly descriptive writing style annoying.

After reading this book, I'm thinking that romance style literature is not for me. If it is your cup of tea, then disregard this review.

Summary: RIVER'S END
Review: This is one of the best books I've ever read in my life. I highly recommend this book because of the romance and the suspense. Good job Mrs. Roberts!

Summary: Mink hates to admit it, but...
Review: Mink read the Nora Roberts novel with the cover torn off, because Mink was ashamed to read a Nora Roberts novel in public. Many people do not suffer from this condition. This was Mink's second Nora Roberts novel. And now Mink has decided that Nora is wonderful at what she does; which is to write novels that completely consume you, if you let them. And you know something? This is a well-written book. It actually is. Except for the occasional dip into drip, this is a perfectly respectable book. Mink feels that if the covers of Nora Roberts books were not so garish and awful, even snobby people -like mink- would enjoy this author.
