Summary: "Bush II - the revenge"
Review: Just finished Stupid White Men last night - it's up to Mike's usual par as far as his book writing goes. A little bit funny, a little bit scary and likely to make you more than a little bit angry.

It's not much fun to be told that the country you grew up to respect and admire has turned away from it's idealistic goals of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness and become the schoolyard bully of the global village.

But, for me, the most telling part of the book is the dissection of just how "Dubya" Bush took the white house - naming the conspirators, showing their ties to the Bush power circle and finally detailling just how they helped derail the election to put their boy into the white house against the wishes of the american people, not to mention the law.

That the powers-that-be wanted this book destroyed before it could be read shows me just how afraid these conservative criminals are of having their activities examined under the light of day. They know Bush is an illegitimate figurehead, and they're going to scream like spoiled children about anyone daring to say so - kicking over the checkerboard of politics and stomping off to sulk the minute the pieces are stacked against them.

The problem is easy to understand - Bush is more than willing to screw over the people of this nation, violate their rights, and shred the constitution, because he cares about none of us. Why should he care about we, the people? We didn't put him in power! He took hold of the white house through the backroom machinations of business associates and family friends - like Enron boy, Kenny. Those are the people he's going to spend all his power and time helping. The corporate elite who placed him in office.

And if what they want is bad for the rest of us?

Well, so much for the rest of us.

Buy this book and read it. Read it fast.

Summary: WOW! A breath of fresh air in the smog of W.
Review: Get 'em, Mr. Moore! Hopefully this book will show that those stilted presidential approval poles are built on a lot of baloney... by going to the top of the charts where it belongs.

Summary: Fantastic. Nothing but the Truth.
Review: One of the best reads I've had in a very long time. Filled with fun facts the press has only skimmed over or omitted alltogether. Complete with *excellent* documentation of all his sources ... a very admirable piece of work. Thank you Michael. Can't wait for the book signing in March. I might need to get a tent and bunson burner, because I hear the lines are almost as big as Star Wars.

Summary: Best book to come out in a long time!
Review: "Stupid White Men" is one of the best books to come out in a long time. It is hilarious, but also depressing because it tells the unhappy truth about our sad nation. I think everyone in the US should read this book so they know all the bad things that are going on behind the scenes of our government. Those greedy, ignorant republicans are going to hate this book.

Summary: A True Patriot!
Review: BUY THIS BOOK NOW!!! Michael Moore does it again! Proving that the term "liberal media" is nothing but a ridiculous Orwellian canard. Our media is a conservative reich (right) wing monster. We need more guys like Mike to take down that monster!
Mike harpoons corporate criminals and crooked politicians. His usual targets. He takes shots at Republicans and Democrats. No one is safe! I especially like how he goes after Shrub (Bush) the figurehead of the (to borrow a phrase, Mike) "Uber Axis of Evil" (Bush/Cheney/Ashcroft). Mike is a true American patriot who realizes that silence is the greatest sedition! ....

Summary: Unbiased Reader
Review: .... I was able to get my hands on a copy of the book a few days prior to its public release, and I read every word intently in just a few hours. Michael Moore does a wonderful job in exposing the corruption plauging American politics, and he spares nobody. Even Clinton gets trashed in some chapters.

Readers must keep in mind that this book was written before 9/11, and that is why it is not mentioned at all, and why W.'s current high approval rating is not brought up. This book is an amazing reader, and I found it fascinating to know that the facts of Enron were actually out there even in Summer of 2001.

Read this book, then pass judgement.tful, how dare they even use that term? The very use of it is contrary to what this nation stands for. Moore's books, his films and TV shows are American to the core. Moore's work is essential for anybody who feels that power and wealth are in too few hands, and that something needs to be done about it before it is too late. I would say this is a must read for all of us, whether we agree with him or not ' ideas are so scarce these days.corporate execs plunder our pension funds, treasury and social security. They move their corporations off shore in paper and pay NOT 1 penny in taxes, while the GOP gifts them with massive tax refunds, that we paid for with the sweat of our labors. They want to turn us on each other, so they can plunder our hard built Gov't. They want us to believe that DECONTROL is good for us, while they really put more and more laws on our backs. They call us traitors, if we don't blindly endorse their Gestapo like control of the WHITE HOUSE, to frighten us into silence. Their true agenda is exposed in all of its evil here and it is shocking. THIS BOOK WILL WAKE YOU UP AND MAKE YOU MAD AS HELL. The saying that 'The Truth Will Set You Free' is epitomized in this labor of Love from Michael Moore. You really feel his blood and guts were poured into this book and you will NEVER look at Corporate and Right Wing Special Interest Groups the same again. YOU WILL BE EMPOWERED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE and KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN GOOD COMPANY.

Summary: Tell it like it is
Review: Michael Moore tells the truth that we may not want to hear but that we know deep down is so -- that the people in power in this country got there by buying influence and cheating the rest of us. Whether he is revealing the facts about the purging of the voter roles in Florida, unveiling Ken Lay as the unofficial advisor to the President (remember, he wrote this last Spring before the Enron scandal broke) or showing how our foreign policy is isolating the U.S. further and further from the community of nations, he does it with gusto, vision and, amazingly, humour! Best of all, he doesn't just settle for potshots at those in power, he actually makes recommendations for what people can do to change things. A must read!

Summary: Everything I wanted to say, but feared getting punched!
Review: Thank you, Michael Moore. We have not flown a flag of Peace for fear of getting shot, and now you have the nation reeling. It feels good to finally be able to share thoughts with the Sleeping Giant - the real democrats and lovers of liberty. Let the name-calling and stone-throwing begin. Bring it on, you greedy power mongers. It's our war now. General Moore is on a roll.

Summary: Illuminating and hilarious
Review: I've seen some of Michael Moore's films including the impressive "Roger and Me." This book shows just how much Michael has grown and learned and become an absolutely hilarious guy. I picked the book up a couple days ago and I am loving it. It's intelligent, witty, and most importantly, thought provoking. As a resident of NYC, I've been a bit of an emotional mess in dealing with everything that has happened. This book has really helped me understand those things that need our help and has motivated me to be more outspoken in my beliefs and begin volunteering here in the city.
Read it. It's worth both your time and your money.

Summary: Hysterically Funny!
Review: Hysterically funny... without a doubt! I and my co-workers were rolling in the aisles in stitches, snorting with laughter over each page I don't think I will be ever able to say George W. Bush without thinking "Thief In Chief" again! LOL! Only recommended for those with a sense of humor!
