Although at some points while reading the book that dog should have.... Michael has done a great job researching and manipulating his facts to provide us with a book that is worth reading. He does a great job addressing issues that are a must fix in America, but the solutions he gives us I'm not sure of agreeing with. Some of the facts that he gives are somewhat outdated and don't compare with americas economy today. I must handed to him though, he has the guts to stand up to Bush publicly, and to the crowd that follows him. The book is a must read.... Whether you're a republican, democrat, or in the middle of the spectrum the issues he covers are something every american should be aware about.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Genghis Khan Strikes Back Review: Although Micheal Moore as usual raises some interesting and often disturbing points, his brash style and unwavering fanatacism are at many points in the book a turn-off. His scathing criticism of the administration masterfully inspires one to question the state of current affairs, and his obvious intelect combined with his down-to-earth bluntness create a symphonious juxtaposition that leaves the reader with a feeling of higher knowledge and a fair picture of what has happened to the American dream; yet it is hard to overlook his obvious bias against those with an unusually large amount of capitol in our society. Some of his most prominent ideas in the book are very plainly his own subjective opinions. Overall, however, I found the book quite stimulating and would recommend it to any who would live this country.

Although I don't agree on all of his solutions, I do like the fact that he is encouriging and continues to incourage free thought. His ideas are quite good over all, he even encourages you to share the book with your friends. Take his advice, buy it and pass it along.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: who wants the whole truth anyway? Review: The sardonic tone was quite comical for the first 50 pages but the rest of the 274 seemed too labored. Moore, in his attempt to unveil the evils of our government, forgets to remind us that there is good there as well. I do feel like Moore makes many valid points when discussing the fact the Republicans and Democrats came from the same cookie cutter but the liberal bias of the book leaves me a bit distrustful as to the validity of his opinion as a whole. Yes both Clinton and Bush have not been environmentally friendly, but they reflect American Society as a whole. We talk the talk but no one wants to make the extra step to buy a Camry over the Hummer. It is often too easy to blame our leaders for our problems when in fact they only reflect the public. That is what a republic is: choosing representatives that represent you! All in all, Stupid White Men was more biased than I would have liked but Moore is not really one for impartiality.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Stupid White Men Review: This book is very interesting sense it was the first political book that I have read. The way in which Michael wrote the book is very different in the way that it addresses any subject such as our poor execuse for a president and the majority of his cabinet, racism, our poor economy, and womens roles and achievements in society today. The book also just doesn't say these are problems we need to fix it gives much more information than needed on the subject. Such as with the president it gives several example of why he should not be our president including things such as he stole the presidency thanks to his brother. Then there is the point Michael brings up which is he thinks George Bush can't read and his book backs this up with quote from the president in which he claimed the his favorite childhood book was "The Very Hungary Caterpillar," but as sweet as it sound Michael points out that the book was published one year after he graduated from college. Other good points are the fact that few blacks hold any high paying respectable jobs, and he also talks about how instead of actually giving blacks more priviledges they just packed up and moved to the suburbs leaving the city to the blacks to do what they want with it as long as whites didn't have to be around them all the time. The last point in which I bring up of his is the male dominated society in which we live in the proof he use for this is the fact that there was only 5 women governors out of all 50 states and the other outrageous fact that 496 of the top 500 corporations in America are run by men. Although this book brings up many good points I do not like the way in which Michael talks so about other rich people even his own neighbors. So why doesn't he move off of Manhattan Island, instead of living Around a bunch of corporate big shots?
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Dissapointing Review: From what I knew about him, I had thought that I would enjoy his book. Unfortunately, I didn't find the intelligent researched material I had expected. I no longer have much respect for Michael Moore, and thanks to this book, I'm now skeptical of anything he says. If I wanted lies and half-truths, I'd read Ann Coulter. The way to attack these people is with truth, not with this garbage. His used of extreme situations that he has "experienced" or in placed he's "Visited" that he sells as routine is ludicrous. In comparing US students to the world, he claims that 12 year olds in a poor jungle village in an unnamed Central American country were discussing their concerns with him about the World Bank? Really? To what level? Cite the time and location! I've known people who've taught students in Honduras! If he encountered this, it's an anomaly! Yes, our education system needs improvement, but cite reasonable examples! These examples without times, places and dates are repeated throughout the book, and they read with the reliability of an Internet chain letter! Shoot, this man says in this book that he dropped out of college because he couldn't find a parking place! that he no longer recycles because he doubts where it really goes (it's a conspiracy!) A man who "claims" to have run for School Board at age 18 under the campaign that he would fire the principal of the school, and actually fired him (a man who Mike acknowledges had befriended him his whole life) yet this appears to have been a CATHOLIC school, which wouldn't be under public jurisdiction. Even when Mike hits on a target, you have to doubt the legitimacy. If you want a comical intelligent criticism of the right, try Al Franken's "Lying Liars, A Fair and Balance look at the Right".
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Charismatic Moore Review: Very witty, well written book which offers the most perfect, loveable sarcasm. Not the greatest book I've read, but it did make me even bigger fan of Michael Moore. The book is more clear than his last document- Bowling for Columbine-which still is very good also. Besides Moore's humour, his honesty is what makes this book good. Also I admire his ability to find the problems and tell about them so that a stupid fin like me understands. Those who say that Moore doesn't present any solutions to the problems he writes about, are wrong. Really, you have to be blind to claim that. And, if you're a conservative: don't review this book. Also, don't review other books and documents made my Michael. We both now you haven't seen/read them.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: *Yawn* Review: More propaghanda, nothing else. Reading this guy's dilusional ideas about our country is like choking down a 3 week old Dodger-dog. However it did come in handy when we got snowed in and ran out of toilet paper.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Astonishingly Eye-Opening! Review: I must admit that at first I was not particularly thrilled at the prospect of reading Stupid White Men when a friend leant the book to me. I was used to seeing Mr. Moore behaving as an 'angry white man' ranting about the injustices of big business & politicians is his films. Therefore, I found myself unprepared and pleasantly suprised by the intelligence and wit with which he wrote this book. This is a great read that exposes a lot of political agendas and comments on everything from the 2000 'election' to the state of our nation. This book shows another side of Michael Moore, beyond the irate man on tv & film you will get to know the intelligent witty man he really is & learn a lot along the way. I'm now planning on reading his next novel 'Dude, Where's My Country?' as well.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Funny, witty and true! Review: Even though I'm not an US citizen, I found this book very interesting and honest. Michael analysis is daring, and I understand that Michael is not friend of many. However, his honest and clear-cut criticism of "white men" attitude towards the world is great. The only thing I disagree with Michael is his support of abortion. I do not understand his criticism of death penalty while on the other side he supports the homicide of innocent children. This is not clear..... However, the book's themes are excellent written. I admire Michael's courage to denounce Bush's corruption and blunders, as well as all the white man terrible damage to the human race.
