Summary: The truly stupid are those that fall for this drivel!!!
Review: Moore only takes a break from distorting the truth, when he outright lies! Such as over 70% percent of one years defense budget went to build 1 plane!!! I'd love to list all the errors and lies that appear in this book but I'm limited to a 1,000 words. Do a Google news search on this topic and you'll find plenty of sources for the truth. Moore is the Paulie Shore of politics. He's a 1 trick pony, and the time to send that pony to the glue factory has long since passed.

Review: Michael offers a refreshing, alternate angle on happenings in your America, but do take with a grain of salt.
Being a middle of the road Canadian, (a die hard liberal in U.S.)
I still can find Michael very irritating. He suffers from the liberal malady of constantly whining and complaining for his lot in life and continually accentuating the negative, he though does redeem himself for offering some soulutions.

Review: Yes, I feel stupid for wasting my money on this book. I had heard it was a witty, intelligent, "good read". Then again, I've heard that about most fairy tales. More hype and style than substance.

Summary: Hateful dispiriting book
Review: One of those works where if you changed the word "white" to "black" or "men" to "women" it would generate the sense of outrage it deserves. A hateful, racist, sexist book. We can only wonder what causes someone to write something like this. If it is self-loathing, that's sad. If its just to make money, that's infinitely worse.

Summary: An angry smile; keeping your sense of humor whilst incensed
Review: Yes, Michael Moore is a dyed-in-the-wool liberal, but this does not mean this book should be avoided at all costs (I'm talking to you, hard-line Republicans). For one thing, he has a few big digs at the Democrats as well as Prez #43 and his Republicans (by the way, he endorsed the Greens candidate Ralph Nader and not Al Gore in the 2000 Presidental race). Before joyfully dumping this book on your next local book-burning-bonfire, read the opening chapter on how the 2000 election was settled by the Supreme Court. It's enlightening (and infuriating), and demonstrative of how democracy in this great nation is going awry.It's more of a coffee-table book than an academic work, but then that has always been Moore's appeal; an ordinary guy standing up and doing extraordinary things (if only I had one-fifth his courage and charm), and giving mainstream attention to traditionally limited-interest issues. Infuriating, informative and funny; a combination few modern social commentators can ever hope for. 5 stars.

Review: This is a great book for those of us in America that are tired of the assinine goings-on that we have to put up with from the present "president" and his cronies. If you are outraged by the state of the nation, or want to know why you should be, read this book!

Summary: Brilliant, insightful, and thought provoking
Review: Moore consistently asks his readers to delve deep into what politics is trying to sell us--something that many people would rather not do nor have *anybody* do. Furthermore, this book demands that we, as thinking American citizens, question what the pols are telling us. Unfortunately, anybody who does this is labeled "unAmerican," "liberal" (as if *that's* a bad thing!), or any other alleged insult. A definite must read, this book should be required reading for any intelligent being.

Review: oh sure, it's ok to bash on white men ... how about a book on "Lazy Black Men"? oh, you'd have Jesse Jackson infront of the publisher's house in no time. It's the usual socialist anti-american, anti-capitalist, anti-white, anti-male [stuff] - coming from a white american male who clearly wishes he were something else. It's the typical liberal attitude of despising society because it doesn't agree with him. That eternal whining, badmouthing, politically correct filth emanating from the far left is really sickening. How about writing something positive for a change. and - if it's really so horrible here, for god's sake, move to Canada or France.

Review: If Moore had his way, our country would be in total chaos. Let's ban everything and be socialists -great plan. Who needs military or a strong border patrol or strong free enterprise, right Michael? If Micael had his way, we'd all be sitting under trees smoking pot singing peace songs while terrorists infiltrate our country and undermine our whole way of life. Let's ban guns, but open the borders to everybody - it's no surprise he's a strong contributor to the Democratic party. Laughable and extremely short-sighted.
