Summary: Hit the nail right on the head...opened my eyes!
Review: Like many people, I really didnt know all the problems George W. Bush has caused in two years. As a 14 year old who has generally liberal views, I was shocked and surprised at all the evidence. Not only did this book reassure my beliefs but left me PRAYING he doesnt get re-elected. Mr. Moore has delivered it all. He shows us how Bush and his corrupt "honorary white men" have corrupted the elections system, ruined our environment, ruined public relations, and have continued to discriminate against minorities. Although this book was great, it was very disturbing. Most of the content was sad and very true. The more people who read this book, the more aware we will all become. All in all, this book was SUBERB and should be read by ALL! Please dismiss the bad reviews and purchase this book. If I may add one more thing, GOOD work to Mr. Moore for his title. It certainly caught my eyes!

BUY IT!

Review: Marginally funny at best. If you have to read it, buy a used copy.

Summary: Moore rage
Review: Moore can be accused of doing several things in this book, but pulling any punches is not one of them. Moore will tell you exactly how he feels, and if you haven't heard from Moore before, be prepared.

Moore seems convinced that big businesses are ruining this country and are guilty for many things that are wrong in this world. While he may be right to some extent, his conclusions are not justified in the book. Yes some companies do lie cheat and steal, and yes many republicans support such companies. However does this mean ALL companies are corrupt and ALL Republicans are evil? Hardly, in fact with out big business are country would not be a global power. Without captialism our nation would simple crumble at the world's foot steps. Moore must know this and sadly does not seem to care. Moreover, what is really sad is that this what Moore really wants to happen. After reading this book I come away with the feeling Moore wouldn't mind seeing the US gravel at the footsteps of foregin countries and of the UN.

If you enjoy reading strong editorals this book is great. Overall, a well written book that has many interesting views, which is why it has three stars. Constant US bashing and white man bashing gets old. He has some valid points but his conclusions drawn from the data presented does not match.

Summary: Michael Moore a big fat liberal slob.
Review: I laughed through the entire book. I found it very entertaining knowing what the left thinks and promotes. I can only give it one star though. Sorry! This goofy whale of a liar is only out to promote himself and the "save the whales" arm of PETA. He knows he's lying but does get stupid white men to support him and his inane world of liberalism. Hopefully PETA can keep Michael "the Whale" Moore in sardines.

PS - I ripped the book off of a liberal college professor. I hope that made his day. It went into the dumpster when I was done with it.

Summary: The Fictitious Michael Moore
Review: I would not say reading this book is a waste of one's time, but more of an insight into Mr. Moore's own "fictitious"-ness. If readers are actually gulled by Moore's views of the presidency of George W. Bush, please keep in mind, this book was written in the first several months of Bush's term with forty-one more months to go. Early on in the commentary, Mr. Moore declares his contempt for George W. and the whole Bush clan because after a private family viewing of Roger & Me, no words of praise or proclamations of heroism erupted from the room and so resentment set in. Moore has been vengeful ever since. Why else would he pounce on George W. only months after the man took office? At least let the man get a few years in. Moore only devoted about 10 pages to Clinton's eight years in office, including one major blunder: Moore charges Clinton with continuous "calls for increases in the Pentagon budget." Look up the figures and one will easily uncover the fictitious accusation: Clinton lowered Military spending each year he was in office. This is only the tip of the ice berg.
Moore's "well-researched" notes and sources section is a plethora of mainstream media opinions, a few government websites for information on House and Senate members, but there are no creditable sources to back anything Moore is spouting. If this is freedom of speech, I guess we've been given the freedom to manipulate and lie.
If Moore's infamous speech at the Oscar's has sparked an interest in you to read this book, save yourself some pocket money and either buy used or borrow a copy from your local library.
Just don't fall into the trap of believing what this guy had to say. Most of this he said was written by his editor anyway.

Summary: Let go of the past
Review: In this whimsical fairy tale of quarter-baked conspiracy theories and evil secret societies that control the earth, Michael Moore, the "intellectual liberal" shows his hand to the American public, and he's a couple of cards short. Moore's first chapter sets up the rest of his "book" by focusing on the fictional atrocities incurred during the election of 2000. The fact that these liberals are still lamenting at the legal victory granted by the rule of law as provided by the Constitution and enforced by the Supreme Court, reveals the utter idea bankruptcy of the Democratic party and the consequences of eight years of Clintonian moralism: the law only applies when convenient.
As a conservative Moore's book did not reach out to me to try and convince me of his beliefs. Rather, he clearly wrote this simply to gather the echoes from his fellow far-lefties. From vile slander and frothing hatred, to wild, illogical, and sometimes contradictory speculations, this book reveals a political stance motivated by hate, bigotry, and lies, which ironically are the very ideals they are trying to eliminate.

Summary: Shocking information!
Review: I was stunned by Moore's well-researched, factual data on the Florida election, on the Washington scene and on Bush in general. What really impressed me was his giving credit where it's due, if even to the other party. This gave him total credibility! He also can tell a joke on himself, belittling his own presence in a situation, as he would anyone else.

He's an amazing author and person, and with his fresh honesty, I have total trust in him. Here's hoping for a new book from him - on the War, on Terrorism - or anything else we need to know.

Summary: The courage to speak your mind
Review: Michael Moore just might be the most politically incorrect person of our generation. The courage it takes to speak his mind at times like these is amazing. He deserves to be praised by all Americans who value the freedom of speech and the freedom to dissent. And those with a sense of humor! Speaking of politically incorrect, try also Bill "Spaceman" Lee's new book: THE LITTLE RED SOX BOOK,is a revisionist history of baseball's most star-crossed franchises. Hitler gets killed by a line drive off the bat of Ted Williams (leaving a swastika-shaped scar on the Fuhrer's forehead). Lee and Moore belong in some hall of fame. Not sure which..

Summary: One big liberal LIE
Review: This bright mix of propaganda, baled-faced lie, and false emotions should work strong on under educated audience like the author itself. Some more community college would be helpful.

Summary: "Stupid" is as "Stupid" says---
Review: Michael Moore heaps scorn and ridicule on America, especially our inept, dishonest, and "stupid" political leaders, and does so with considerable rancor, while trying for a tone of folksy humor. He calls George Bush the "Thief-in-Chief," and also harshly criticizes Bill Clinton. If Michael is correct, we live in an extremely corrupt nation, led by incompetent white men who are both dishonest and stupid. He offers his ultimate solution to these problems in a chapter called "Kill Whitey." Isn't THAT a hoot?!

Michael has frequently been asked by interviewers about gross factual inaccuracies in this book, which he tries to deflect by saying it's "political humor." Where he cites data or facts, he often provides backnotes to identify the source. A check of a few of his sources consistently shows that his sources do NOT support his assertions-----that he has consistently misrepresented the factual information he uses to demonstrate the "stupidity" of his targets.

This kind of "art" and extremely harsh rhetoric continues to make it more and more difficult for liberals and conservatives to LISTEN to each other about their LEGITIMATE concerns. It does terrible disservice to the quality of our political dialogue, and I don't recommend this book.
