Summary: Hilarious!
Review: Micheal Moore is an extremely funny man. He is a great bush critic and this book is guarenteed to make you laugh. Micheal Moore has, at times, a bit of an extreme sense of humor, which is why some people call him racist. I personally think his opinions on "white" America are hilarious, and any "racist" comments of his are to be talking lightly. He doesn't just poke fun at black people, just look at the title: "Stupid WHITE Men." This book is also packed with interesting facts about POTUS (President Of the United States, and Micheal Moore prefers to say,) and they really make you question George Bush's creditability as president. Overall, this book is funny, enjoyable and a great read!

Summary: Hilarious....
Review: ....before thinking about buying this book or not, keep in mind you will need a sense of humor to appreciate this book as well as a few other things:

You see, Michael Moore has a highly developed sense of humor- at least when it's displayed in a book. I laughed so hard when I saw some people here whining about how Moore's racist- those people seem to not be capable of apprehending sarcasm. So that's the second thing you need- the ability to understand sarcastic wit.

The third thing you need to have is this realization: the USA is going downhill. Michael Moore wrote this book to point these things out and maybe even educate the ignorant and clueless. Don't claim that he's anti-American after or during this book.

Yes, the book itself. Truly hilarious. It contains humor, good writing abilties are showcased, there's just the right amount of statistics, and no one is left out- we all get political bashing. He speaks what has been in many people's minds for the past few years and still manages to teach us a few lessons (quit bitching to your kid's teacher, for example).

I'd say buy it. It's powerful, witty, and you'll probably find something in it you'll like. So rar.

Summary: If you read only one book this month, make it this one . . .
Review: Very entertaining & enlightening read. Even if you don't agree with all, you can gain a lot of surprising insights from this book. Plus, you'll get a good laugh. It's all well-documented with complete foot notes for each chapter.
The humor part is important because the information in this book is so depressing, you'd be crying otherwise. Instead, the book inspires you not to believe every thing they hear (especially fom the democrats) and (...) and do something. Among other things.
I'm recommending this book to everyone I know. It's an important read with elections coming up this fall.

Summary: Oh shut the f*ck UP!
Review: Stupid White Men is just outright FUNNY AS HELL! Michael Moore is a pure genius when it comes to bringing out the truth those horrible conservatives do to our country. For one, Bush was not elected President, Gore had more votes than him, but the Supreme Court came into play and named him President. Why? Because the conservatives Judges who sit on the bench wanted to retire under a Republican Administration. So Gore is a President-in-exile.
Moore gets down to the facts; all his life Bush had things handed to him; he went to Yale and Harvard, he didnt pay for it, he was given a oil company, failed. He was given the Texas Rangers, failed. Then he was given the Presidency, already failed at that. Need I go on? Of course there is a lot of ground to cover, and very little time to cover. Moore also points out that Bush believes that there is no hole in the ozone layer? Really then why are the polar ice caps melting in the North Pole? Why did he back out of the Kyoto Treaty signed by 170 nations but one country back out? the U.S. The Bush Administration has done a lot of shady stuff that they dont want us to know. Ohhh how Bush has done us so wrong.

Summary: Pure drivel
Review: I decided to pick up this book because I thought that Mr. Moore would be able to give some original ideas about the progressive movement. Sadly, this is not the case. Perhaps the title should have been a dead giveaway, but I found his ranting about race to be the same sort of PC garbage that you would find from other notorious "leftist" authors. To be sure, playing the race card as Mr. Moore does and in the manner he does so is very hurtful to progressive causes.

Mr. Moore informs blacks that in order to survive in a "white" world, make sure you have an inflatable white person doll to put in your passenger seat so that the police will think you are a "chauffeur". More insulting he goes on to say that black people should just stay home and do their shopping via catalog so that no security guards will follow them in the stores. Stay home and don't leave the house, says Mr. Moore.

(...). Very insulting and very racist. Mr. Moore goes on to give "sound" advice to whites by telling them to just shut up about affirmative action, don't buy guns because 98% of the time you won't shoot the intruder, but your loved one (his source is the already discredited "fact sheet" by the Brady group), and make sure that you hire as many blacks as you can if you own a business. I presume that he doesn't feel that there is any contradiction between this tip and the one where he says that we shouldn't think that affirmative action takes jobs away from whites.

All in all, I was left scratching my head on two counts. 1) How in the world did this guy get #1 Bestseller status? (the same question I ask about Hannity, Coulter, and Savage) 2)How can anyone who is a true leftist devoted to progressive causes actually take this guy seriously?

This book makes leftists look like closed minded jerks and will do nothing but harm our cause (which makes me wonder if Mr. Moore is simply a right wing plant, after all, can't we find someone better to articulate our cause better than this racist jerk?).

I certainly hope so.

Summary: Moore is Americas voice! People Want Moore.
Review: Michael Moore may be one of the most outspoken Americans I have had the pleasure of reading. His inciteful and sometimes funny outlook on where our country is heading makes him a pure gem. I suggest anything from Moore, including his documentary Bowling For Columbine. For the last few years, Michael Moore has influenced many authors and may be the single reason more authors step forward with their opinions. After reading The Divine Tragedy by Charles Stanley and David Cook, and watching Michael Moores Bowling for Columbine, I see a wave in our nations thinking and acceptance of what goes on in our neighbors homes. He is funny, smart, and possibly a danger to any money grubbing political figure. I would also suggest checking out his television show, the spoof on corporate cops is hilariously funny and true. If you read three books this year, make them Michael Moore Stupid White Men ...and Other Sorry Excuses for the State of the Nation, Charles Stanley and David Cooks The Divine Tragedy, and Dennis Millers Rants. Those would be the holy trilogy of current affairs and newer views upon life. The people need Moore!

Summary: "Stupid White Men" an excellent book that reveals the truth
Review: Michael Moore's book "Stupid White Men" is a book that hammered the truth about the people running our country. He uses facts and statistics to prove his point of view that the white men running our country are using their position to benefit themselves instead of working on improving our country which is on a downfall since Bush entered his office.

Summary: Wish there was an option for zero stars...
Review: The USSR is no more, but there are still those who believe extreme socialism works. On top of this, Moore seems to be enjoying the capitalist benefits of his success, making his point of view seem quite hypocritical.

Summary: Biased
Review: There's some good information in here, and it serves as a very nice compendium of reasons to hate Bush and others in gov't now, but there's also a lot of misrepresented data. Moore, in many places, only presents the numbers from one side of an argument, therefore not painting a full picture. I think this may be partly due to the fact that many of his references are NY Times articles about studies, rather than going directly to the study.

Summary: you can deny the humor, but you can't deny the facts
Review: It is essential that Americans, especially the middle and lower classes, be educated about what is happening in this country. The problem is this country just doesn't like reading. It is sad but true; to get news we turn on the corrupted CNN or ABC news and stare at Janet Jackson's breasts. Michael Moore is a great mediator between people and knowledge, a good character to present these facts. His clever film making and humorous writing is able to entertain this Ritalin driven nation whilst simultaneously educating them. Moore has in my personal opinion mastered the ability to manipulate his mediums to coerce people to follow him, the same way the media does. Moore has a specific agenda and he brilliantly thrives in his intent.
