Summary: Totally Confessional
Review: What a truly charming book. It was so refreshing, so Everyman, (or Everywoman, in this case), that there was no difficulty whatsoever relating to Rebecca Bloomwood. How many of us are there who are living on a day-to-day basis, yearning for the fun things in life without having to do all the hard work to get there? How many of us have maxed out our credit cards or overdraft funds because of those darling shoes that we just had to buy or other such trivialities? Watching Rebecca "grow up" was so friendly, and so comfortable, as though one expected to see her around the corner, that it makes you want to read the whole book again. Even the Prince Charming twist on the story didn't make it any less realistic-- it only made it better. I couldn't recommend a better book for light, fun, sweep-you-off-your-feet romantic reading.

Summary: I Just Loved It!
Review: What a great story this is. Yes, its light and very fast reading but I just couldn't put it down. If you love Bridget Jones, then you will also love Becky Bloomwood. Even if you are not a true shopaholic, you are still bound to find moments when you recognise some of the symptoms. Havent we all needed to buy some little treat for ourselves when we are down in the dumps, never mind that the credit card is about to self-destruct? This book just kept a huge smile on my face the whole way through.

Summary: Financial Finesse
Review: I know people like Rebecca, the main character who are definite shopaholics. I identified with Bex' ability to talk herself into purchasing things (i.e., I did so well budgeting today that I should treat myself for it with this nice pair of boots). I have been there myself I am sorry to say. This book was hillarious, and had a few unexpected turns which really made it an astonshing read.

If you're looking for a fun read, this is it.

Summary: Laugh out loud funny!!
Review: I have never laughed as much as I have while reading this book. Thank you Sophie Kinsella for such a funny and entertaining novel, and I can't wait for your next one.

Summary: Kinsella is a GENIUS- - - > BEST BOOK EVER
Review: After reading Bridget Jones, i was on a rampage to get anything British and girly. When i finished Shopaholic i flipped to the first chapter to start it over again! i really don't agree with all of the people describing every new book about women to be a Bridget Jones clone, especially this book. The writing was funnier and better, and instead of screaming, "Bridget Jones is me." I am screaming, "I am Rebecca Bloomwood."

Summary: Bridget Jones Goes Shopping
Review: Had I not already read "Bridget Jones'Diary," its sequel and numerous Bridget knock-offs, I might have thought more of this book. Rebecca Bloomwood is a sweet, charming, albeit self-deluded, character. Her story, however, is predictable and pretty much follows the Bridget Jones formula, right down the television gig. Still, Kinsella's writing is crisp and engaging and captures perfectly the thought-process we use to justify purchasing our shopping finds. This would make a great vacation book.

Summary: Best book I've ever read!
Review: I admit, I hate reading and rarely do it outside of school. But this was a book I couldn't put down. When I saw the title flashing at me from the isle of Target, I couldn't resist but to pick it up and check it out. And from the first line, I was hooked. I felt like someone took all my thoughts about not only shopping, but life in general, and put them to print. It's amazing the connection the author made with me. It's a modern, hip, perky read that all women need to read! Confessions of a Shopaholic was the best fiction book I've ever read!!

Summary: Great, Excellent
Review: This was a great read. It saved me during a horrible trip of delays and the like. Although I enjoyed Bridget's Diary this is different. Becky is younger and coming in to her own as a recent college graduate. It also funny as we can look at ourselves, and our consumer society. This is a vacation, weekend or a "get away" book.

Summary: Perfect for sitting in the Sun and sipping Iced Tea
Review: A fun and light hearted tale of a Girl who's job and lifestyle are not quite what she hoped for. What does she do to console this humdrum existense? Shopping of course, and lots of it. I love the way the Author took a rather shallow character, Rebecca Bloomwood, and helps her find more substance in her life from all the adversity that her chosen lifestyle creates. I had a few good laughs and enjoyed the situations the main character is put in. (The Finnish Bank interview is priceless) If buying a designer label can give as much joy to a person as it does for Rebecca Bloomwood, then the outrageous price for such items just might be warranted.

Summary: Loved It
Review: I too picked this book up on a whim...and found that I couldn't put it down!
