Summary: As delicious a confection as the first
Review: All 3 shopaholic books are great--Becky Bloomwood continues to deny reality while living with really zany relatives and friends, but turns out all right in the end. The endings all have a twist in them and it's worth turning the page just to find out how bad things have gotten.
You do have to suspend your sense of reality though. Becky's financial troubles are novel enough to be amusing in book 1, but by book 2 you're wondering why she hasn't cut back yet.
But anyone who has taken a deep breath and spent a fortune on something-you-simply-must-have and then left it to collect dust afterward will be able to identify with her.

Summary: Confessions of a Shopaholic
Review: This is by far the best book i have ever read. It is very funny, and fun to read. The situations the main charecter Rebecca Bloomwood gets herself into make you sometimes question her level of sanity. The only thing that gets slightly annoying, is the lack of common sence Rebecca has. Other then that, it is a wounderful book. The sequal is even better.

Summary: absolutely wondeful!
Review: i am not the type of person who likes to sit down and read a book, but i could just not put his one down! i sopen thalf of my vacation in europe just reading this novel. i was absolutely in love with becky bloomwood, and all of kinsella's accompanying characters. while becky was out of control, she provided a nice break from everyday life. part of the reason she is so enjoyable is because she is willing to do all the things that we aren't.

Summary: A thrilling purchase!
Review: I am not the shopping type person. Sophie Kinsella had ahold of my attention through the entire book. It was fun reading Becky's misadventures of her weakness for fashion.

It was great to read one of these single 20 something brit novels where the daughter actually has a pretty good relationship with her mother. It was refreshing.

All the of characters are well writen and mesh well with the story.

Summary: Must Have!
Review: This book was great! The characters were so well writen, I felt as though I knew them. I found myself relating and sympathising with the main character, Rebbeca. The comedy was great, but the author also knew when it was time to end the jokes and become more serious. I cannot wait for the third book in the Shopaholic series to come out.

Summary: Not sure I read the same book
Review: I love to shop as much as the next gal, but the main character in this book was simply ridiculous. She was incredibly irresponsible. Dealing with stress and problems by spending money she really didn't have, then hoping some rich man would swoop in and save her?! Please. Like young women don't already have enough enough difficulty being independent and respected?! Grow up already. Readers should grow up too, and stop encouraging this sexist drivel.

Very disappointing.

Summary: I Loved This Book!
Review: I'm 17 years old, and I really hadn't had time to read any books in awhile. My mom actually recommended "Confessions" to me (well she kind of forced me to read it, and I'm glad she did!) I got it, and I couldnt put it down. It was amazing how I saw so many of my own traits in Becky. We both procrastinate, we both are constantly saying the things we SHOULD do, instead of actually doing them. But it was really funny how while i was reading the book, i was getting angry with Becky. She knew she didn't have any money to spend and that she was in debt, then she'd go to the store and buy just one more little thing. I found myself yelling at the pages "WHAT are you DOING?!!" And i think at first we all hated Luke Brandon so much, and empathized with Becky after her great day with him, picking out suitcases, turned into a really embarrassing night for her. Becky's buying habits were alittle irritating sometimes, but she was overall a really likeable character. The way Kinsella wrote, I felt like Becky was talking to me. I felt like she was real, and ending the book felt like I was leaving her life, when I really wanted to stay longer! Oh and Sophie Kinsella's picture on the back cover is exactly how i imagined Becky to look like. I loved this book, it was a great read and I can't wait to read the sequel!
