Summary: Eeek kid, look out!
Review: Living on the same island (Kauai)as Michael Crichton, I was very happy to be in the unique position to get an autographed copy of this book. If you hate action, I can't help you--this novel vibrates in your hands. Michael will be the first to tell you that the mechanism of time travel in this instance is a writers device that his more learned physics-related friends might take issue with;but elements of his imaginative look at the possibilities yield tangible aspects. I don't want to overexpose--so I'll just say that the "field buck" phenomenon seems entirely likely. The clock is ticking.

Summary: Waiting for the movie
Review: When I started reading this book the first thought that popped into my head was, the movie will be coming out any day now. It almost seemed like the book was written explicitly for the groundwork on a movie. Don't get me wrong, after a slow start the book was very good and moved along quite well. I think it could of been a bit longer. Once you get into it the end comes a bit too quickly. The technical aspect of the story was explained well enough to get a grasp on it without having to re-read passages. All in all Crichton has once again delivered quality fiction

Summary: timeline
Review: i loved this book. it was suspenseful and the characters were well-developed. it was well-worth losing (a lot of) sleep over. all books should be this exciting and thought-provoking (and well-researched). i highly recommend it!

Summary: A Science Fiction Thriller!
Review: This was a great read! The scientific theories Crichton presents for timetravel are believable. He takes the reader and whisks you away on a action packed thriller set in the middle ages. Crichton puts you in the heart of life back in the 1400's, with all the terrors and dangers of medievil life. The characters are well developed and easy to relate to, the plot is spellbinding, and the overall story is so delicious that you cannot put it down! A must read for anyone!

Summary: Another Great Book From Crichton
Review: Crichton creates another fast-paced thriller that you won't be able to put down. An exciting book for anyone who likes adventure. This book combines scientific technology that is just a little hard to understand with sword-fighting and time travel. Overall an exiting tale that everyone that can read, should read.

Summary: Timeline
Review: Timeline was very informative yet fun. Their adventures were numerous and involved many people and interesting facts about the Middle Ages. I would recomend it to all who like the Middle Ages and lots that don't.

Summary: pretty good!
Review: this was a pretty good book it had a good story line but there was a lot of technology and science and that made it hard to follow. The medieval part was the best part. Over all itwas pretty good but not worth reading again!

Summary: medieval best!
Review: I am a great fan of Michael Crichton and eagerly anticipated reading this book. I was not disappointed. The idea of travelling back in time has always fascinated me (see movie - Somewhere in Time) and it does sound romantic. His book was like a catalyst for my imagination on what it is like to be in the medieval period. I can almost smell the chaos he was describing. You can almost feel the thundering noise of the horses and the vibration of metal against metal when Crichton describe the battle scenes. It is an amazing book and I was glad I read it.

Summary: A major disappointment
Review: I have always been a big fan of Mr Crichton's work, and as such was very sorry to find that not only COULD I put this book down, I did, frequently. I can't help but think that a possibly great story line slipped through his fingers.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not what I've expected at all...
Review: ... from M. Crichton. I was a bit skeptical in the first few pages, testing the waters whether or not I should find something else to read, when I found myself reading faster and faster, trying to figure out what will happen next. Not exactly sci-fi, not really a full blown thriller, but an exciting book to read.
