Rating: Summary: Life Changing Review: This book helped me to realize life and religion from a much higher perspective than I ever had. It's main point to me was that no matter what your religion is the greatest gift given by god is love, if it is given with free will to other people, or back to god, that is when god listens to you most intently, because you are actually doing his will as he taught us to do, once we do this, then all things thought impossible can become possible, miracles become an everyday occurence. Simply put your life becomes less complicated, and more appreciated by yourself and by others around you.
Rating: Summary: Spoken by Swami Kriyananda (J. Donald Waters) Review: This six cassette audio book has 10 hours (22 selected chapters) of readings from this spiritual classic by Swami Kriyananda (J. Donald Walters, a direct disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda. Mr. Walters is recognized as one of the world's leading authorities on Yoga and meditation. "Kriyananda has a voice that enthralls, and a vision that ennobles." - Dr. Haridas Chaudhuri, author and philosopher, founder of the Cultural Integration Fellowship.
Rating: Summary: This book changes my life with each reading. Review: I first read Autobiography of a Yogi nearly 20 years ago. I thought it was a marvelous adventure story of a great yogi who grew up in India, moved to America, and met some incredibly interesting people throughout his life. The second time I read it, I was struck by Yogananda's love for God. (Something I didn't even pick up on during the first reading.) I truly wanted to experience the same. Now I listen to the audiotapes of Autobiography of a Yogi from time to time. Each time I hear something new and understand more about the spiritual path to Self-realization. So, this book has not only changed my life, it changes it again and again with each reading.
Rating: Summary: A soul Journey beyond the New Age! Review: A life changing experience just reading the book. So much wisdom packed into those pages - can be read again and again and still learn something new each time!
Rating: Summary: an Interesting Edition Review: Although the authors name(Paramahansa)is now on newer editions of his book, that is the way he normally signed his name. The publishers review(above) failed to mention that the author himself actually made many changes to the book before he passed on in 1952, the implication the recent editions represent changes since 1952 only is a false claim. Subsequent changes to the newer editions more accrately reflect the Master's teachings and other writings.

Rating: Summary: The best book I have read in my life Review: This book has profoundly changed my Life. Parahamsa Yogananda was a god realised master from India who came to the west with the mission of bringing mankind closer to God. He stresses on the oneness of god and the brotherhood of man under the fatherhood of god. The book describes his yearning for god, his meeting with several Sages & Saints of his time in a very inspiring and touching way, and his meeting with his guru Sri Yuketeshwar. It is filled with several miracles that tend to flow from his life into thet of the readers.
