Summary: This book was especially good.
Review: The Golden Compass was a great book. It wasn't my first fantasy book, but it was one of the best. The main character, Lyra, is imaginative and courageous. Her dæmon, Pantalaimon, is also as brilliant as she is. The plot is one of those you-can't-wait-until-you-find-out-what'll-happen-next-yes-I-think-I'll-skip-dinner-to-finish-this-book plots. And the ending leaves you thinking, "oh." "Oh." "oh!" as you grab the book and flip back again. :-)

Summary: Good Book
Review: I really enjoyed this book but the beginning is too boring. It took me two times to finish this book. After you force yourself to read the book it starts getting better and better. The book gets kind of confusing in the middle but if you think a little you'll get it.

The end was kind of disappointing but I would recommend this book to fantasy lovers.

Summary: Not a Bad Book, it Really Deserves Four and a Half Stars
Review: This was a pretty good book. It was highly recommended to me, so I decided to try it. The story's interesting, the plot complex, and characters good. The only thing that prevented me from giving it a five was that it got a little confusing at some parts. It's still a great book and definatly worth the read, though.

Summary: Can't put this one down!
Review: Not yet finished and one of the best trilogies that I have ever encountered...Although the first book starts out somewhat slow, it soon picks up and the suspense keeps you reading right up to the very end, each book having its own startling conclusion...

Summary: How Could you resist?
Review: This is the most wonderful book I've ever read. This is an epic story of how a young girl must try to survive in a strange, surreal, world. I give this book five stars because it has a very exciting plot, and it also uses very good description.

Summary: Brilliant
Review: Northern Lights(Or golden compass) deserves the same recognistion as Lord of the Rings and The Harry Potter Series, as one of the best ever books written. It's two other companions, Amber Spyglass(Book 3) and The Sublte Knife(Book 2) also deserve that recognition.
