Rating: Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK! So do all my class mates. Review: A very good, touching book about a black 4th grade girl and her 3 brothers growing up in the 1930s. In it, she is made fun of, and a friend, T.J., makes a mistake that ruined his life. And she is just starting to understand about prejudice.
Rating: Summary: This book was a great book!!!!! Review: I thought Roll of Thunder was a great book. I loved how it was written in southern dialect and you felt like you were there. I would rate it a 8 because it was kind of confusing. There were too many characters. I got them mixed up. I love Mildred D. Taylor's books and I want to read more of her books.
Rating: Summary: I thought it was one of the best books I've ever read. Review: I rated Roll of Thunder a 9 because it was well written but it had a slow beginning. I think more people should read this book because the author used tremendous amounts of descriptive phrases. I loved this book. The charecters were cool. The book makes me want to read more and more about the charecters. The ending was very detailed. I really want to know what happens.
Rating: Summary: GREAT !!!!!! Review: This is a great book which teaches people about life , hate , happyness and the war between the blaks and whites . It made me tink and stay up late .
Rating: Summary: Taylor tells a delightful and thought provoking story. Review: Readers become immersed as they read of the trials and triumphs of Cassie and her family. This book brings an awareness of the human spirit as it struggles against injustice.
Rating: Summary: you should read this book it is great Review: The logan family are in a hang up becuse Mr granger wants the logans land he tries at any cost to get the land that was once in his family he asks Big ma to sell the land to him and he tells the bank to out due ther down payments
Rating: Summary: Is a very good book. Review: I really liked the book. When I ffirst began to read it I though it was going to be boring, but hthen I went on and on, and when I least think it, I finished it. It is a very good book-- I recommend it.
Rating: Summary: This book was absoulutly wonderful. Review: Taylor has created a novel with the realism that it deserves. She has not be afraid to open up and tell others about life back then and the struggle to be equal to white people. I abousolutly broke down in the end when the fate of T.J has been presumed. Everyone should read this novel, not only becuase it is the greatest, but becuase it deals with real-life issues that even still, exist today.
Rating: Summary: Taylors best Review: This book is not only fun to read but it gives feeling. You cant stop reading once you get a hold of it. Mildred D. Taylor got so creative with this book it was unbeleavable. You could cry some times, be angry, and get right up and laugh. In this book you don't have to understand it you have to feel it.
Rating: Summary: This book made me realize how some people can be so cruel. Review: I really enjoyed this book because,it makes everyone who would read it,think about how harsh, cruel and petty we can really be just because of someone's SKIN COLOR!! I am working on reading her other books. I couldn't believe what happened to T.J. at the end! I really loved this.
