Summary: True colours are beautiful like a rainbow
Review: It was really an interesting book. We cannot believe people treat each other like this. It makes us angry. Everybody has its own colour and their is no difference between these colours. We should respect people for who they are. Your true colours are beautiful like a rainbow. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. We enjoyed reading this book.

Review: This was a really interesting book. I can't believe this has really happened. Everybody has his own colour and there is no difference between these colours. We should respect people for who they are. Your true colours are beautiful like a rainbow. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! We enjoyed reading this book.

Summary: I think it's a great and realistic book
Review: I read the book as a school assignment and I really liked it. I think it's a realistic book (especially thanks to the characters strength). I would advice everybody to read this book.

Summary: great book!!!
Review: I really liked the book, when I first started reading the book I didn't think I'd like it. The author writes very lifely about the events that are happening. While reading the book I often thought and felt as if I was standing and walking along with the characters in the book. I will surely read the other books of her, I'm sure they are as good as this one. She writes very good about all the things that are happening, she is telling them so clearly and without any doubt, almost as if she was there at that same moment. With no doubt in my mind, I would recommended it to anybody!!! If you don't read it you will surly be missing something!!! So do read it you all, you won't regret it!

Summary: A powerful, heart-taking, and cultural novel
Review: I had to read this novel for my literature course. When I read the title, I already wanted to read it. When I past the first chapters I could easily lay the novel away to do something else, but when I reached the middle I could not distance myself from the novel. I had to finish it. The novel made me laugh and cry. It made me feel angry and ashamed. It made me think about the current situation and equal rights. This novel gave me so much to think about, that I am grateful for reading it. It is not only a great novel to read, but holds a lot of historical value as well. I would recommend this novel to everyone !!

Summary: We feel asleep reading this book!!!!!!!
Review: The beginning of the book is very boring. Extremely long descriptions and not a lot of action. But after a while when you read further and you get into the story it gets better. It describes well how the black people in the US felt shortly after their liberation. It is well written but sometimes very boring. The theme is nice but all the books about this subject are more or less the same. This is a book for young adults, and you notice that. For people who are a bit older, like we are, it's too dull. All in all it gives a good picture on how the differences were between the black people and the white people in those days.

Summary: A good enlightenment for children nowadays.
Review: We had to read the book for our literature course, and we found it a good one. Although there are many books written about this subject, it stays interesting. We can't imagine how white people can act this way towards others, but since it is a childrens book it is an enlightenment for young children nowadays.

Summary: this book is really stupid
Review: I had to read this book for 9th grade Advanced English and it was really boring. It was pure torture to get up and read the thing. Maybe if I had read it when I was 8, I would have enjoyed it, but for now, it's on my list of "Most Awful Required Reading Books".

Summary: This book is Kind of Boring
Review: This book is a book I read for my literature book in school. It is about some black people who own this land and have many conflicts with white people. The ending is really good but the rest is a little boring.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Read this book right now.
Review: I had to read this book for school and I really think more people should. In this book you really see what the differences between black and white people are. The reason I appreciated this book is that it gives you a clear view on how black people were treated (even now there're still people who treat black people badly). I think that you can decrease racism by showing people how it is to be discriminated. By reading such a book you can show them this and I think you'll have to start at an early age with this. The reason: children of now are the future of you and me. All in all I recommend this book to anyone who's interested in this subject or has to read a book (for example for school) about this subject.
