Summary: heartstoppingly brilliant text
Review: I am fifteen and this book influenced me greatly, MildredTaylors explicit descriptions on cassies thoughts and feelings made myproblems and life seem minute in comparison, The book really transports you into "Cassies world" and i couldn't put it down. It terrified me yet excited me at the same time. DEFINATLY not a book to be missed.

Summary: The life of a young, black girl in depression America
Review: I thought that this book was really good when I read it. I originally read about three years ago and I like to read again and again. It is prbably my favourite book as I think that Mildred Taylor really brings across the feelings that Cassie goes through during the book. I especially thoght that the way T.J. was almost lynched and the terror that Cassie and her brother felt while they were hiding, watching it all was very well written, and it made me really empathise with her and the hardships that she had to go through.

Review: Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry is an excellent book. As a 15 year old I really enjoyed it. Cassie, the main character leads the reader through her african american families life during the Depression. The events will pull you in and make you truly feel that you are there. I loved the story and feel that it is a wonderful book to have read. I couldn't put it down.

Summary: A beautifull story, laced with fear, pride, and love.
Review: This book is told from the point of view of a young black girl, Cassie. It is a verry good book that takes place in mississippi, 1933. Cassie is verry proud, and is just learning about how colored people are treated.
