Summary: Good book for all ages.
Review: It's amazing what can happen in one year. Using similies and metaphors as her allies Taylor composes another masterpeice. The Logans will endure prejudice, money problems, and haunting experiences. One year...

Summary: How I Rate Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry
Review: I think that Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry was exciting, sad, and made me want to read more and more. In the end it was a very sad but detailed and suprising ending. I think that Mildred D. Taylor is a very good author and I liked how she explained all of her characters and what they do. I especially liked Cassie Logan because Cassie is my name! I think this book suits everyone and will make them cry.

Summary: A must read book!
Review: The was the best book I've ever read! It is really a great book!

Summary: I couldn't put it down!
Review: This book is absolutely fantastic! I had it on my book -list as a SCHOOL BOOK! And when I read it in school, it just dragged me back for a quick peek ahead to what happened next between classes and the next thing is I'm reading it straight through for pleasure - and don't read school books for pleasure! It has that 'thing' that just drags you back for one more read. Cassie Logan, a little coloured girl is doing a lot of growing up inside to do in a short time. New experiences of comfort and happiness, pain and sacrifice or shock and horror etc, etc. Cassie and her brothers Stacey, Christopher John, and Little Man are finally seeing the white man's attitude towards their black counterparts and the trouble that is caused. I have just now finished reading this book as I'm writing this review and I'll probably start over and read it again. This book is an essential read, you shouldn't even be reading this review right now, go and buy it now. Why wait? Which reminds me, I should be ordering the sequel right now . . .

Summary: This book had great vocabulary, but if you ask me....
Review: This book had a great vocabulary, but it didn't have a very good storyline. This book was on my School Summer Reading list. They could have given us classics or adventure books. I wouldn't have minded either. I think this book was bad. I didn't like it much. I don't want to be negative or anything, but this book sucked. Sorry to the people who DID like this book.

Summary: A Remarkable Book That Should Be Read By All!
Review: I read this book once when I was in fifthe grade and thought it was the most boring book I'd ever read. But then, in the first week of my seventh grade year, I picked up the book because I had to have a book to read by the next day. I must say, that the book certainly did grow on me. I was surprised how much I loved the book. I had dreaded starting the book, but once I finished the third chapter, I just couldn't put it down. And I think that no matter if you like to read or not, you will most certainly love this book!

Summary: To Kill A Mockingbird dumbed down
Review: This was on the required reading list for school and therefore I was forced to read it and I must say this was one AWFUL book. I love reading! I hate this BOOK! Do not waste your time here! Go buy To Kill a Mockingbird. That was a great book and about the same exact thing. This book talks down to you in a way that To Kill a Mockingbird never did. This is possibly one of the worst books I have ever read.

Summary: A book that all people should read.
Review: I don't normally like reading and when I had to because of summer reading I alwasys cringed at the thought. This book was so great I now love reading. It vividly depicts the life of a black family trying to bay bills and survive being humilliated because thay are black. It is told through the eyes of nine year old Cassie who is learning about racisim first hand along with her three brothers Satcey, Little Man, an Christopher-John

Summary: Roll of thunder hear my cry
Review: I like this book because It tells how the Afro-Americans were treated in the 30's. I also think the part about T.j. is the best in the book. I think other kids should read this book. It's great to read at night.
