Rating: Summary: The success of Sean's book represents hope for our country Review: Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" is a huge success, breaking box office records in its first week. Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, based on J.R.R. Tolkien's Christian myth has been rewarded with a record breaking 11 Oscars for the third film in the trilogy, "The Return of the King", and is the second most financially successful film in history, surpassing the 1 billion dollar mark. Sean Hannity's book, "Deliver us from Evil" makes its debut on top of the New York Times best seller list. These three triumphs are like the beacons of hope lit high atop the mountains of Middle Earth; in the face of cynical naysayers, these successes represent hope for a civilization in grave danger. They are lights in an ever growing dark place where all the other lights seem to be going out. They are beacons that point us to the true light of the world. They are lights that point to Truth in the face of deception. They give us hope that the biggest lie in the history of man, that would lead many powerful civilizations to darkness, has hope of being successfully challenged. What is this great lie? It is the tempting deception that evil does not exist. The lie that evil is not real. What else do "The Passion of the Christ", "The Lord of the Rings", and Sean's book have in common besides their great success? They share the same important message of the existence of OBJECTIVE REALITY. Morality is real. Good is real. Evil is real. All three give the message of Truth. All three give the message that evil must be recognized, challenged, and defeated. Objective morality logically follows from the existence of God. Objective morality is the foundation of our laws. Without God, moral relativism becomes the logical conclusion and leads to the destruction of that foundation. History has shown that moral decay leads to self destruction of individuals and civilizations. IF LIBERALISM REPRESENTS MORAL RELATIVISM, THEN SEAN'S BOOK AND TITLE ARE RIGHT ON THE MONEY. IT MUST BE DEFEATED. If liberalism promotes same sex marriage, it represents moral relativism. If liberalism promotes abortion, it represents moral relativism. If liberalism promotes ridding the Ten Commandments as the foundation of our laws, it represents moral relativism. If liberalism promotes the lie that we are NOT a nation "under God" then it represents moral relativism. If liberalism promotes the appeasement of evil, it represents moral relativism. IF THIS IS WHAT LIBERALISM REPRESENTS, IT MUST BE DEFEATED. In "The Passion of Christ" we witness what appears to be the greatest evil; it appears to be a great victory for evil. It turns out to be the historical fulfillment of the ultimate good where the new Adam, the Son of God, redeems us of sin, and defeats death, through the suffering and death we condemned Him to. This real victory was what G.K. Chesterton called the "mission" of Christ, a very REAL purpose, to fulfill the hopes reflected in the imagination of past mythology, and the desire and longing reflected in Tolkien's Christian myth. The hope of salvation, despite our sin. God did not send his son to give moral lessons but to defeat the real deception of evil by showing that he is the Way, the Truth, and the Light; that all the Truth that is spoken comes from His mouth. Seans book represents and points to this Truth. I highly recommend this book because it doesn't give the reader moral lessons; it gives the reader Truth. The truth that morality is real because God exists.
Rating: Summary: what a grate book Review: there is all kinda intrsting stuff in this book like the time he says all liberals shuold get off their high horse an wake up an smell the coffee. an that bill clinton was a traiter. only problem with the great book is that it aint got no picturs and sometimes to many big words to.
Rating: Summary: THE TRUTH Review: Whether or not you agree with Sean's words, the book is accurate. Sean is used to being attacked by left wing. He deals with it every day. The man is smart enough to not put anything in view that he can't back up. The book is powerful, and moving. Don't bash the book until you read it. If you have read it and still have bad things to say, its too bad. It is too bad that Americans have the truth right in front of them, truths that could help us get through this hard time, and still put it down. If you want to learn the truth, read this book. The man knows his stuff.
Rating: Summary: The Truth Review: As one who has had a hand in the defeat of a despot, I whole-heartedly agree with the opinions in Mr. Hannity's work. I believe it will ring true, even for the many who have not read it because of their political views. I have encouraged several members of my unit and most of my family to give it a thought. Many of my classmates who are young and disaffected have found a new truth in listening and reading what most view as being unyielding or uncompassionate. It's easy then to let them in on a little secret: Sean IS THE compassionate Conservative! Thanks Mr. Hannity.
Rating: Summary: You no doubt have your opinion on this but... Review: I often say the difference between me and these new 'neocons' is that I actually am a republican. Not Sean, he is conservitive but does not advocate classic republican values. He just claims to. This whole Liberal=evil is just plain silly, it is a flimsy arguement that holds very little creedence under careful examintion. Does he want to go after those who arm terrorist? nah blame liberals. The Economy, guess who, crime, you guessed it. You will no doubt find liberals are also to blame for cold winters, sunspots, and lost keys. The part I do take exception is the claims of Christianity. Just try and imagine Jesus saying what Sean does... It's hard isn't it. This is a book for the right wing conspiracy theorists, please read Mike Savage for right wing politics, at least he is consistent, if not sometimes paranoid, in his positions.Sadly this books simply serves to bait Democrats, and offers no intelligent solutions for the very serious problems that our country, and this world, face. Thank you.
Rating: Summary: A weapon of mass instruction Review: Sean's book accurately portrays the danger of appeasement policies of the democrats over the 25 years. It should be a "must read" for all students of history, so that the same mistakes will not be repeated.
Rating: Summary: We fear what we don't understand: Review: Of all the negative reviews about this book I've read there is not one that is substantively based and executed with any intellectual merit. I do, however, hear nothing but disparaging remarks and attacks against the book's author, yet I can guarantee that these "critics" haven't even read the book! Nor do they plan to.I can understand why liberals absolutley hate Sean Hannity and his book: he calls Evil by its name, and furthermore calls them (Liberals) by their name. Hannity doesn't equate liberalism with evil despite the popular belief of those who haven't read any more than the dust cover. He masterfully illustrates how liberlaism, by nature, ENABLES evil to flourish unchecked. Hanntiy says with certainty that there is evil in this world, and as such it must be defeated. Liberalism, he contends, is a hindrance to our winning this war against evil, and so it must be defeated as well. The theme of the book is simple: Evil must be confronted and defeated; the Democtratic party is incapable of prosecuting this war to ultimate victory. They simply cannot be trusted with the security of our nation. A must read for the intellectually honest, conservative or not.
Rating: Summary: deliver us from evil Review: thank you sean the book is great and my son is learning alot from it also.keep up the good work i love it
Rating: Summary: haalth insurance, Kerry's wife Review: Sean, what is your solution to the health insurance dilemna? Are people who have lost their employment entitled to health care. More importantly, do YOU care? Instead of focusing on your continuing hatred for Hilary Clinton, why don't you focus on health coverage and other vital topics. Yes, YOU have health insurance. Guess those millions of people who have been laid off from their jobs over the last three years who DON'T have health insurance are of no concern to you. George Bush has NO solution, no answer for those without health coverage. Also---you're already making fun of John Kerry's wife. On your show the other day, you said "she likes to be called Ter-aza, NOT Teresa." That was childish of you, Sean. Would you want another man making fun of YOUR wife's name? Focus on the issues and stop being so childish. Men who ridicule women in that manner aren't worthy of our respect. And oh....I love it when you plead your cause with your "innocent" choir boy voice, as opposed to your angry voice. You're a good performer!
Rating: Summary: I sent this book to my Brother in Iraq... Review: I sent this book to my Bro in Iraq (He's with the 3-504th PIR, 82nd ABN). I also purchased one for myself (I'm with the 1-156th AR, LA Nat.l Guard ~en route to Iraq). We both love it! The amount of pride that I felt while reading this book was unbelieveable. This book has a double-meaning that most Libbies will never understand: don't judge a book by it's cover/name. Read the book. Don't just throw paragraph-bombs with catchy Al-Frankenesque-one-liners and expect to change the minds of others... Sean Hannity is the real deal. READ THE DARN BOOK! This man speaks from the heart and soul of America. Stay alert, stay alive, vote GOP. Bush-Cheney in '04!
