Summary: An "Up all night read!" Don't miss this one!
Review: So far the best of the "Left Behind" series, and the zenith of the latest in prophetical fiction story lines. The author is able to realistically portray the Bible prophecies into modern day life, and at the same time, immerse the reader into the lives of the characters.

Summary: Tense, Intriguing, Suspenful - Incredibly Satisfying
Review: Can you handle the tension,...the excitement,...the realism? This book keeps you on the edge of your seat from cover to cover and then leaves you wanting more. Set in the not-to-distant future, this is an apocalyptic thriller that you will not want to put down. It is over 400 pages but the non-stop action makes it read like it's only 200, and the abrupt ending is painfully teasing. What a chilling picture of the times to come...Are you ready?

Summary: The best series I've ever read!!
Review: Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins have done as excellent a job as humanly possible of portraying the End Times. The characters and events are so believable this series seems more an account of actual happenings than fiction. The only complaint I have about these books is they are not long enough. I read Nicolae:The Rise of Antichrist in about 6 hours. I highly recommend this series to believers, but especially to non-believers

Summary: I'm going crazy! I have to wait longer?!
Review: This book was awesome just as the others before it were. I really wish they would have written a 700 page book. I don't know if I can wait until the next book is released! I sure hope they finish this series before some people are left behind. It won't be long before God will take his people from this earth. I want to read the end of this series before I go!!!!

Summary: The book is captivating preview of "the wrath of the Lamb"
Review: When I read the other two books in this series, I had to read "Nicolae: the rise of the antichrist". It covers alot of ground that was left out of the second book "Tribulation Force". However, it never let me down, always picking the right moment to cover the "history" of the books characters. In the style of the "Left Behind", a moving experience for the reader. I highly recommend this book and for anyone interested in a good series of books, read the "Left Behind" series, and judge for yourself if you need more in life

Summary: Could someone achieve total world power?
Review: The Tribulation Force now knows that Nicolae Carpathia is the Antichrist described in John's Book of Revelations, the final book in the New Testament. It is obvious to readers from the beginning that he is, but the scenes in which he takes control of worldwide leadership are shocking.

The Book of Revelations reveals seven seals that are the prelude to the last seven years of the End Times. Buck Williams, still able to maintain his lucrative position as headline writer, publishes a stunning article entitled "The Wrath of the Lamb" just before the worldwide earthquake (seal number six) flattens mountains, opens or closes streams, brooks, and lakes, and reduces the size of land mass by enveloping great sections in the churning chaos of the sea. This is prophesized by John the Revelator. These descriptions, I thought, were well written.

One of the main aspects of Nicolae's power is owning the media. Current laws do not allow one conglomerate to own controlling interests in radio, television, newspapers, magazines, or production companies. The Antichrist brings a large populace into his fold with promises and mind control. However, he owns it all. He combines all religions into one Global Religion under his appointed Supreme Pontiff, and takes on the tile of Grand Potentate of the Global Community.

While I was reading this book, there were recent political and communication changes in the United States that may allow a single entity to own more media control. These current changes made me wonder if a path is in the works for a single man to govern the world.

Again, the characters are underdeveloped. Rayford Steel marries a woman just introduced in this book while Chloe and Buck finally tie the knot. The Tribulation Force is still trying to draw Hattie Durham into their fold.

This is a fast action paced novel. Of course, I was committed to reading the series by this time, so I may not be the best judge. I enjoyed it, and immediately went to Book 4.

Summary: Non-Stop, Edge of your seat thriller
Review: The third installment of the Left Behind series starts at the begining of the tribulation. After the start of World War III, the Tribulation Force struggles for survival as Nicolae Carpathia (The Antichrist) unleases his war machine against those who oppose the newly formed Global Community (formally the UN). Adding a particularly good twist to the story. two of the core members of the Tribulation Force are now employed buy the Antichrist creating a high amount of tension that serves to be very infomative for the reader. The members of the trib force in this third installment are now without a leader due to their previous leader dying under mysterious conditions. The book escalates and proves to be a page turner that you will find difficlut to put down. Action and suspense are ever present, as the reader is taken to locales such as Iraq were the throne of the antichrist is, Chicago, and a harrowing escape/rescue from Isreal which is perhaps some of the best suspenseful writing of our time.

Summary: Wayyyy better than Tribulation Force!
Review: This is one of the better books for the "Left Behind" series. I dont know what it was but this book seemed to draw me in and did not let go. A fast read like all of them...except Tribulation Force. You won't be let down with this one unlike Trib Force.

Summary: I read the first 3 books of this series in one week!
Review: I'd seen this book at the christian book store several times but always thought "that's a guy's book". Last week I was going out of town for a business trip and decided to give "Left Behind" a try. I had to go find a christian book store in the city where I was in on business just to get the second book "Tribulation Force". Then I was headed to the airport to head home and had to stop by the christian book store yet again so that I could get "Nicolae". This series has not only been entertaining but I have learned and now understand the book of Revelations so much better. I look forward to reading "Soul Harvest". If they do make this series into movies, I sincerely hope the integrity of Lahaye and Jenkins is kept high by not only the script but by the actors who are chosen to portray the characters.

Summary: A LOOK AT THE NOVELS OF REVELATION
Review: I am a very big fan of novels that deal with the Biblical Apocalypse and, with so many different types, thought it would be worthwhile to give an overview of the ones I have read.

Left Behind, by Tim Lehay- The series that started it all. These novels are, in truth, somewhat boring, but it covers the bases with a depth that none of the others do, probably owing to the fact that there are so many of them. They lack character development and deep theology, but are a fun, if shallow read

The Christ clone Trilogy by James Beauseigneur- Well written novels that focus on the scientific and political. Tom Clancy meets Left behind is not too far off the mark. I greatly enjoyed these books although I felt a little let down by the ending. Overall, a good political take on the End.

We All Fall Down by Brian Caldwell- Certainly the most controversial of these novels. The focus here is the individual and why someone would ever in their right mind reject salvation. Very brutal, although probably more realistic, in its depiction of the End. This is certainly not a book for the timid, but for the rest, I found it the most intelligent, well written, and, oddly enough, spiritual of the bunch. It's hard to walk away from this book with feeling to need to take a fresh look at one's own relationship to Christ.

Blood of Heaven, by Bill Myers- These are intelligent, character focused novels. I found the theology again to be a little weak, but really enjoyed following the distictive characters.

The Last Gentile Trilogy by Cary Bybee- Better written than Left Behind, but lacking the scope of that work. Like conquest of Paradise or Christ clone, it it based in science, but perhaps too much. Not enough religion for my taste.
