Rating: Summary: No More Mr. Nice Guy Review: Everybody takes off the gloves in this one. Though the title would lead one to believe that the entire book is devoted to the development of one character, perhaps the most exciting sequences are given to Buck in this one. The action scenes are well thought-out and plausible. It has all the action and suspense of any current secular thriller. The only complaint I have is that the book had no ending. While Soul Harvest is already available, the first two books could stand by themselves, but chapter one of "Harvest" will be just an extension of this book. In this one, Jenkins has finally found his groove as an action and adventure writer, and its easy to get lost in this one. Great reading.
Rating: Summary: The best so far. Review: The only reason I picked up this book was because I was intriged by the ending of the last one. And I'm glad I did. This was the best of the series that I've read. The plot never slowed, and life in the tribulation got very complicated. And you've just got to read that final scene to believe it. Don't hesitate.
Rating: Summary: Think so? Review: It certainly attempts to literally interpret a very difficult and symbolic text. I believe a more realistic approach must factually account for how the world is changing and where that change is likely to take us. For non-fiction, I urge all to read "The End of Privacy" by Reg Whitaker. Then take the next step and devour "Transfer-the end of the beginning" by Jerry Furland. The Left Behind series often left me behind due to the incongruous plot lines. Why do things happen the way they do? Does God have to intervene to move events or does God merely describe what will be? I think the latter make the most sense to me. It puts man where God said we would be-in charge and free to work our will either in obedience to His Law or to our own desires. This is not theological Rocket Science as demonstrably, most of the earth continues to act according to their own desires. At the risk of being pedantic, read Furland and Whitaker for a preview of what man will do in the near future. We will act as God has forseen not as he has programmed us to be. Had John, Isaiah, Daniel, and Ezekiel understood the language of technology perhaps their fantastic visions would have been less symbolic and open to interpretation.
Rating: Summary: Not for everyone Review: For those already in the choir, the "Left Behind Series" are an affirmation of hope. For those who are on the fence, these books may nudge you in either direction. For those who have no hope in a moral ascendancy over their actions that is redemptive, this series may not persuade. For myself, I found "Transfer-the end of the beginning" by Jerry Furland a much more credible vision of the future. For those not already in the choir, perhaps "Transfer" is the best introduction to the future as it most likely will unfold.
Rating: Summary: Most Explosive Yet In Series Review: Just thought I'd share my thoughts with any of you are thinking about buying this book. If you have read the first 2, dont wait any longer, get this book however you can, but be ready to get "Soul Harvest", the 4th in the series, because you wont want to have a break between books. I guess thats about it, besides I recommend this series to everyone I know. Peace in the journey - Tim
Rating: Summary: Most interesting character is the car Review: I just went to the Los Angeles Auto Show found myself drawn to the Land Rover/Range Rover exhibition because this amazing vehicle has near super powers in the Left Behind series, particularly in Nicolae. The blessed Range Rover consistently delivers Buck from one certain-death situation to another, yet always spirits him away unscathed. This is clearly the unstoppable vehicle to own during the tribulation. Thanks to authors LaHaye and Jenkins and their persuasive brand placement, I'm buying Range Rover from now on, extravagant price be damned!
Rating: Summary: Interesting, but¿ Review: "Left Behind," (the series,) was an easy read, with an also too easy to follow plot. I preferred Jerry Furland's view of a more realistic turn of future events in his novel, "Transfer: The end of the beginning." It has a more believable scenario, is less opinionated, and is more intelligently written than "Left Behind." "Transfer" left me wanting more, and thankfully there is-it is the first novel of a trilogy. I recommend it highly!

Rating: Summary: Review#202 Review: "Transfer-the end of the beginning" by Jerry Furland is a much better read, makes a lot more sense, and the best part, it is probably exactly where we are headed in the year 2009. You decide.
