Summary: I can't take this much longer, where is Book IV?
Review: I think I already reviewed Storm of Swords, even before I was done with it. I tried the Terry Goodkind, and the Robert Jordans, but Martin has spoiled me. Charactors that are not carboard cut-outs, successes and failures of pro and ant-tagonists, everything a committed reader should demand are all here. I assume that if you are considering buynig this book, you have read the first two. If you are "window shopping" for a series-STOP! read all three. They are terrific.

Summary: Simply Amazing
Review: George R.R. Martin has not made himself the king of fantasy. This is by far one of, if not the best series I have ever read. If you finish A Clash of Kings thinking you have some idea of what is going to happen, forget it. Martin totally astonishes in this chapter of his saga, throwing in twists so great that it will either make you want to throw the book across the room in frustratio, but then pick it two seconds later and glue your face to the pages once again. This nearly happened to me at one point. He made me realize how much a reader can actually care for fantasy characters. I will give one warning about this book though: Once you finish you will not want it to stop, but of coarse we will have to wait. Besides the wait until A Dance With Dragons, do not hesitate to read this book.

Review: If u liked the last to books u will absolutly just love this books. Just don't get to attached to any of the charecters they seem to be dying awfully quick. This is the best book in the series but they all deserve at least 6 stars

Summary: Can he keep it going?
Review: I sure hope so. This 3rd book has increased the pace of the story line and moved the plot in ways I wouldn't have guessed. And that is a great thing. There is a large mass of scifi/fantasy out there and it is hard to find fresh ideas. Martin has done a great job and this was a wonderful read.A word of caution: he can be pretty graphic is some of the love scenes. I didn't mind, but this isn't C.S. Lewis here. But even if those scenes would make you uneasy, the rest of the story would make up for it. Just skip those parts! ;-) A great read. I'll buy number 4 as soon as it comes out. That's the best praise I can give. Money talks volumes.

Summary: Astonishing..........
Review: I know that this may be simply adding a pebble to an avalanche, but I could not restrain myself from commenting on this incredible piece of fantasy. I cannot recall the last time that I read a book in this genre which was so incredibly fresh and different in its tone and pace. Incredibly realistic, violent, chaotic, depressing, disturbing, intelligent, well-developed, and completely engrossing, I found the third installment of this series to be one of the best books I have ever had the pleasure to read. Unlike similar fantasies which alternate between characters in which I have different degrees of interest, every chapter in this book adds to the excitement and all seem important to plot development. I seldom found myself sighing as I started a chapter because it did not deal with my favorite character as I do reading other books that alternate the point of view. Completely exciting. A whirlwind. You never know what will happen, who will survive, and several plot developments brought me to the verge of tears. Believe the hype. Winter is coming.

Summary: A Storm of Swords
Review: Having read the reviews already posted, I realize that this will only be the latest pebble in an avalanche of praise. However, I could not resist offering my opinion on this amazing and engrossing read. The tone is unique to the fantasy genre, the plot twists endless, and the whole thing is one mind-numbing and gut-wrenching experience. I am in awe. I have been reading fantasy for years and years and never thought to feel this way again about a new book. Unlike other fantasy novels that alternate between characters causing me to want to flip forward till the action returns to a character of importance, I find every chapter in this piece essential and flew threw this book like wildfire. It is truley a revelation, and one of the greatest pieces of fiction I have ever read. Period. All hail George Martin. Winter is coming.

Summary: Be warned: here be no heroes
Review: This book, this story is what I have always wanted. a book were bad things happen to the good and the bad. Were profecies dont always come true and were the great hero is just as vulnerable as the great enemy. as for the last part there is no great hero in this book and though there are many bad guys you cant tell who is the great enemy. do not, repeat do not try to predict this story exept in the most general terms because believe me what ever you are thinking its NOT going to happen unless it was the worst thing you could think of. I loved the wheel before it got wobbely but now this book with its tight story and diverse caracters has taken the throne of best fantasy ever. look for maybe 3 more books before this story is finished but then again with the way this story is going that red comet may swing around the sun and crash in to westros killing every one. the way this story is going... it could happen.

Summary: Gifted storyteller!
Review: After a while, I rarely remember the names of the characters of most of the books I read. They just all run together. With GRRM's books, I can recall the names of all the main characters, not to mention most of their family tree, several years after I've read the books. I love these books. If only more fantasy novels that are being churned out today have even a fraction of this series' charisma. They are magnificent!

Summary: Prepare to be deceived...
Review: In this the third volume to the Ice and Fire series,everything that you assumed to be true gets the rug pulled out from underneath it.Heroes are shown to be craven,crazed women are far from it,peasants are nobles and magic is their life blood. From across the sea,the last of a royal line begins to understand the price of leadership and in the midst of the enemy builds a mighty army. Martin leaves no stone unturned and it is the patient reader who will get the pay off in this stunning series. Alliances change like the wind here and you have to look very closely at what is said and then see what is done by the major AND minor characters of this saga. Imagine if you will sitting down to a game of strategy like chess and becoming so involved with your opponent's technique(admiring their skill,finesse...the sheer beauty of a move)that when you are taken,captured and beaten within an inch of your life in the game...you yell bravo and ask for more! Buy this book...buy all of them and marvel at the subtle way you are made to truly READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Back on track
Review: What can I say that the previous reviews have not? This novel regained the quality of the first, A Game of Thrones (not that Clash of Kings was bad... I would give it a 4 1/2). Martin's prose is fast paced, his dialogue both touching and witty, and his descriptions are vivid and imaginative. I have yet to find another author with the flair that Martin shows for imagery. Without giving away significant plot points, it is safe to say that a lot happens in this installment of aSoIaF; the reader will never be bored. You'll find yourself rooting for characters that you never thought possible, and disliking characters that you figured you'd cheer on the entire series. Martin has outdone himself yet again, and I cannot wait for the next installment, A Dance with Dragons.
