Review: I read this book and it was great!it is really exiting because it has lots of battles, and it is high adventure. After a long chain of events the Elven Ring some how gets to Bilbo bagins (the Hobbit) on his quest. Read this book and find out what happens in this book. I would recomend this book to anyone who likes books with high adventures and battles.

Summary: The Hobbit
Review: The Hobbit is the story of Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit who lives in Hobbiton. He enjoys a peaceful and care-free life but his life is interrupted by a surprise visit by the wizard Gandalf. They are embarking on a journey to recover lost treasure that is guarded by the dragon Smaug, at a Lonely Mountain. On the journey, Bilbo and the dwarves encounter all sorts of villains and obstacles. They have not traveled very far when they stumble upon a group of trolls.Gandalf leads the group to a place where they can get a short rest and they pass through the country of the elves.Bilbo has outwitted a creature called Gollum, and gained a ring that makes him invisible. This is certainly helpful in battling the Giant Spiders and getting the dwarves out of the Elvenking's prison. This is about all i can say without telling the rest of it. I thought that this was a good book because I was able to get into it.

Summary: Best Book!
Review: This book and the Lord of the Rings Series are the best books i have read. They are planned out and are set up in such a way that you would think it is a real world. The book even has maps and a glossary of terms and dates. Definatly something you should read!

Summary: A large adventure for a small person
Review: Wow, where do I begin this review, first of let me say that JRR Tolkien is one of the best storytellers of all time. He is my favorite along with Stephen King. This book is full of surprises and twists that will kepp you turning. I don't really agree with some other reviews that it is intended for children and adults. I am 17 years old and I still love this type of story-telling, with magic and dragons. This book, in fact, is one of my favorite. Tolkien does a fantastic job of character development and describing the surroundings. I was enthralled with the ending. I really could not find anything wrong with the book, it is consistent and it kept me turning the pages. It also does a good job setting the pace to the other Lord of the Rings books. If you are ever bored and with a few hours to kill, definately pick this one up.

Summary: Oh please...5 stars is all I can give it ?!?!?!
Review: This book is so capturing and pulls you in. I think it should be required for students to read before they enter high school. So many times our schools don't enforce the importance of reading. Your brain soaks up literature and it also helps to improve your vocabulary. That would make this book the perfect example. And it not's a complicating book. It's full of adventure and excitement but also provokes thought. I think that everyone should have a acquaintance with J.R.R. Tolkien's work.

Summary: My Review
Review: Well, I think this is a good book for ages 11 and above. This is a great fantasy/adventure for girls and boys. I believe it is one of those books that you get dragged in and can't pull away from it. I rate it a "5 star" because out of the novels i have read, this is probably the best. Over all a great book, although hard to get into at the beginning.

Summary: Excellent reading!
Review: Obviously "The Hobbit" is a great book, what impressed me was how well Rob Inglis read it. Wonderful voices for each of the main characters and actually singing all the poems/songs really made me apprieciate them more!

Fifteen birds in five fir trees!.....

Summary: What 's Toroll or Hobbit
Review: Hi, I am Japanese and trying to improbe my English studying every day.
One day , my English teacher said it was worth reading.
Through this book ,I studied no only English but also what Hobbit was or
what Dowarf was, mean while , there is a different between
Japanese imaginally liveng life , food, or things like that and British one.
I am getting like Hobbit, and I prefer them rather than Japanese
monsters.(Miyazaki Hayo , Mononoke , etc)
However, reading this book was pretty hard for me.
Because, my dictionary is based upon American English , so
sometime, I have to refer the dictionary twice for one word.

I was wondering , will I be able to finish to read the "Load of the Ring "sooner than the secound epic comes to Japan.
I am dying to read touch 3 books.

Summary: THE HOBBIT
Review: I liked this story. It is a great story about bravery, suspense, and drama. In the story friends have to trust friends to be able to stay alive. The author ( J.R.R. Tolken ) makes you feel like you're in the story, and you can picture what's going on. The story is about a hobbit who lives peacefully in his little hobbit hole with no intention of ever leaving it. But one day a wizard and dwarfes appear at his door wanting him to go on a dangerous adventure with them. At first he says no to the idea, but once he finds out how much gold is in it, he just can't resist. He and the dwarfes face many dangers. What I learned from this book is that you need to be brave and that it doesn't hurt to try new things because you might like them. I think that everyone who likes stories with dwarfes, wizards, dragons, and lots of excitement and suspense should read this book.

Summary: A wonderful childrens tale for people of all ages.
Review: The Hobbit, Or There and Back Again, is the wonderful prequal to the Lord of the Rings but, standing alone it still remains one of the best tales ever told. The adventure of Bilbo Baggins is the classic treasure hunt, complete with elves, dwarves, goblins, trolls and fire breathing dragon. Also, for the first time the reader meets such characters as Gandalf the Gray, Elrond Half-Elven, Balin, Gloin, and of course Gollum all who play either larger or lesser roles in the Lord of the Rings. Perhaps most importantly, is the account of the finding of the Ring of Power. Therefore, while clearly written with a younger audiance in mind, The Hobbit appeals to readers of all ages, for in it, the master of fantasy can clearly be seen honing the storytelling skills that have won him the praise of millions readers around the world. I can not wait until my neice and nephew are old enough for me to share this incredable tale with them.
