Summary: Acid Vin!
Review: This is one of the most intelligently written, fun books that I have read in recent times. I could not put it down! There were absolutely remarkable twists and turns. The history, use of anagrams, mystery, and religious symbology were fascinating. Dan Brown, you have found a fan!

Summary: The DaVinci Code
Review: Wonderful book for a long drive. Not too technical or complicated. Good pacing with several twists and turns. It kept us guessing to the very end. We put the first CD in the player and waited in the driveway after we got home to hear the ending.

Summary: The best!!!
Review: I loved this book and can't say enough. Anyone who loves history and solving puzzles is in for a treat!

Summary: A non-stop page turner
Review: My friends told me that this book was a must-read, and they were not lying. So what if the historical facts are slightly askew according to these other "experts" posting reviews. Who cares? If you want history, get an encyclopedia. For someone who wants an entertaining read with twists and turns, sometimes predictable but often not, buy this book.

Summary: Incredibly fast read
Review: One of the most fast paced fiction I have ever read in recent years. Ingenious plot! All fans of Lupin or Holmes will appreciate this book.

Summary: So Much More than Your Typical Mystery
Review: I wasn't so sure about this book when I was contemplating getting it. I had never read any of Dan Brown's novels and I assumed it was going to be another 'run of the mill' mystery, but I was incredibly surprised! This was such an original and thought out and researched work that the factual elements alone kept me reading. But when you add in the actual story, I couldn't read it fast enough. If you are looking for something more in a novel than your typical Grisham, Patterson, Connelly, etc etc etc books, you've got to give this one a shot.

Summary: Fun, but awful writing style.
Review: This was a fun summer page-turner novel - quite suspenseful. It was griping, partially because of the suspense and plot developments - but maybe mostly because of the fascinating things I learned, page after page, about history. I mean surprising and maybe shocking history! In fact this book is EXTREMELY provocative, especially for Christians ... if you take it seriously. Much in the book is about real-life organizations, events, facts, etc., but I'm highly skeptical of a number of aspects of it. The entertaining thing is trying to figure out what is true and what is fanciful, conspiracy-theory type creative thinking. Though this book was fun, fascinating and educational, I have to add the negative side: the WRITING is TERRIBLE. I found it laughable in quite a few parts!! It's SO terse, with NO inner character development, and NO emotion. An example is the grade-school-level effort at developing romance between two of the characters - this consisted of only about 5 sentences out of 454 pages! I know not to expect much writing syle in this genre, but this was really bad. Still a fun read, though!

Summary: forget the abridged audio
Review: whether this book is as good or bad as some reviewers write, what is probably at least as interesting as the plot line is all of the esoteric information presented by the author. (i infer this from the reviews) the audio abridges too much of this and gives the skeleton of clues and lots of running around. read the book or wait for an unabridged audio.

Summary: The best book in a VERY LONG TIME
Review: This book captured me from the first page. Intelligent and fast pace, it took me one day to finish this book. I simply could not put it down. Consequently, I went out and purchased Angels & Demons, another Dan Brown book - finished it in 2 days. His thrilling stories suck you in and I must say that I THOUGHT I'd figured the story out many times, only to be corrected in the final pages. I whole-heartedly recommend this book!

Summary: My New Fav- A Teen Take
Review: This is an excellent book for anyone who wants an ingenious yet easier read, with short chapters, and is perfect for people who enjoy both thinking and discovering. This is probably the best book I have ever read in my life.

It was a wonderful story, intriguing, mysterious and captivating. I cannot wait to someday visit Europe to see the works cited in the book. I found the citing to be accurate and perfect for the story. I learned a lot about Da Vinci works just by reading this. Further, through reading this book I looked more at my religious views.

The voice of the characters is strong, and all of them are believable, people that could be found anywhere. I thought that the way the main characters worked together was inspiring, and that the strength they had together was magical. The people involved in the mystery are all unique and yet recognizable. Everyone's role is distinct, yet they mesh easily.

This story was perfect because of the puzzles, symbols, legend, and art. Fascinating, absorbing and riveting, anyone can read and love this book; historians, puzzlers, conspiracy nuts, the average joe. Of course, that is just my teenage opinion; I could be wrong.
