Summary: Dante has a room in hell reserved for such forgers.
Review: Dante has a room in hell reserved for such forgers: authors whose false images, fake contests, and media stunts lead them to be taken as good and real. Denis Dutton has done a yeoman's job of cleaning out the Augean stables of art with his able nose and fine shovel. This book is a rare gem! We are all in Denis's gratitude for this exposure of the fake, the timid, the untalented frauds the author can ferret out so well. He is the one to expose the false veils and fake blood of the savior: let us live in such skepticism and see where it takes us, in the marketplace of ideas where truth and justice win out like the ideas of Dinesh Desouza and Hilton Kramer, whose brave company this professor of fraud belongs in!
