Rating: Summary: Mz. Thang does it again. Review: Chyna Black is a story about the trails and tribulations that materialistic teenagers, experiences. It teaches the lesson, that life isn't a fantasy world, and that for each cause there is an effect in life. This story allows the reader to know that what goes up must also come down. Mz. Ervin pens a tale that is true to life. While it is a love story there are lessons to be learned here, and Ms. Ervin tells and shares with us. Friendships are tested in this story but it also shows that true friendship will endure trails and tribulations. I must admit that the love scenes are a little steamy also. A very good page turning read.
Rating: Summary: Patricia Poe Keisha's Mother Review: First off I would like to tell Keisha that her writing skills have come along why since she first wrote Me and My Boyfriend. Chyna Black is off the chain I cried at the end of the book because just like they say everyone deserves a second chance in life.I hated when the book ended I wanted it to be longer because I was not ready to put it down yet. Keep up the good work Keisha. Your Mother Patricia Poe (aka Diane)
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book! If I could give it ten stars I would! Review: If you have not walked in "Chyna Black's" shoes as have countless women have, you will never understand the depth of this book! Keisha, you are truly an "Angel" sent from above. You don't know how (your trials and tribulations) much this book will help millions of women in generations to come. Thank you for so poignantly putting my story and the stories of others in black and white. It something about when it's in black and white, that it becomes a lot clearer. Thank you for doing such a great job with not only this book but your life as well. See you at the top, "Diva" Sincerely, "Mick" Monet!
Rating: Summary: Off the Chain Review: Keisha Ervin has done it again readers. This is a must read book. This book made me cry at times and I couldn't put it down. I hope to see more from this author because she is a great writer. I wish Ms. Ervin the best success and can't wait till her next book hits the shelf. Every young girl can relate to this book. Ervin character Chyna Black is someone that you know or maybe even yourself. Her quest for materialistic things overshadow her better judgement. Chyna is looking for love, but she doesn't realize that first she has to love herself in order for somebody else to love you. She loves Tyreik more than she loves herself and that was sad. This book will make you laugh, cry, and make you furious at the things that Chyna goes through from the drama her mother is coming at her with and then what Tyreik is putting her through. I will not give the story away you just have to read it to see what happens. I promise you, you wont be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Best Ever! Review: Keisha has done it agian, this book has really taught me about life, i am young and i can feel what chyna was going threw with her mom and how she was blinded and couldnt see her life without her man tyreik, sometimes it makes me wander, why do women do those crazy things for men. Keisha taught me in this book, that every body makes me mistakes and it dosent matter what the circumstances are, this book will open up the eyes for young teenage girls my age, who will do anything and evrything for they man, and KEISHA THANK YOU you taught me so much and gurl i hope your next book is better than your last 2!
Rating: Summary: Intriguing Review: Title:Chyna Black
Author: Keisha Ervin

I am not normally into urban novels; I find sometimes that the stories can be drowned out by very specific details about things that don?t make the story more interesting. However, the novel Chyna Black pleasantly surprised me.
This coming of age story about Chyna Danea Black is both intriguing and engaging. Even if you did not grow up in an urban area, any woman can relate to the growing pains that she experiences. The most interesting are the life lessons, which emphasizes the importance of accepting responsibility for one?s choices.
Chyna Black goes through a transformation right before our eyes. She meets Tyreik, who proceeds to change her very existence. She is forced to learn the tough lesson about love. She also learns about the importance of true friendship among women. With her life in a whirlwind, she becomes determined not to make the same mistakes twice. This is an excellent read for urban fiction lovers and those new to the genre.
