Summary: Excellent photographers - and life is not always friendly
Review: "Black Star"? In this case Golden Stars! The book describes in images and text the work of the "Black Star" agency and their member-photographs, and because the agency was founded in a time when photography in newspapers and magazines was becoming a major information source, you will naturally see what has been created for them. So don't expect Art (although some "art" should be shamefull hidden compared to this), but reportage photography from the finest photographers, and pictures of a world which wasn't nice (and still is not for all). The book is also good as a reference for photographers of this time, if you just wish to start collecting.

Summary: A good realisation that our lives are not that hard
Review: The photography in this book is as expected, brilliant. However I found a concentration of grim images giving people a perception that the world is really a dangerous sad place.
