Summary: A picture book in colour of 19th century Moscow
Review: This book is a collection of images in watercolour and lithograph of 19th century Moscow. It is an astonishing and varied collection of images of a lost world. Each picture is reproduced in colour on on the right hand side of the book, and on the left is an explanation of the scene and some information on the artist, and all are enclosed in beautiful "Russian-theme" illuminated borders.

You get to rare pictures of the Kremlin (both exterior & interior), the interiors of the Nicholas Palace, The various ancient bridges of Moscow and various coronation scenes held at the Kremlin in the 19th century.

For a rare view of Imperial Russia as seen through its artists eyes this book is hard to beat and presents a facinating array of pictures.

Review: Yet another wonderful collection of paintings from the french punlishing house. This volume details the Kremlin in the 19th Century, it wonderfully captures the power and history that this ensemble of chuches and palaces epitimises. A great collectio, one stronlgly recommended for anyone with an interest in Moscow, Russia, Architecture, Art and Imperial Russia. In particular for those who have been fortunate enough to visit this most incredible place.
