Summary: Valuable research on Paris at the turn of the century
Review: This book is a fabulous addition to my research library. The photographs of vendors and their wares; storefronts and their dressing; and people living their lives on the streets of Paris are invaluable to me as an opera set dresser and propmaster. The photographs are, of course, beautiful in their own right; and the text is informative, poetic, and interesting.
