Review: This book is absolutely beautiful. I have used a friend's copy to get ideas for my tattoos and I finally needed to buy my own copy. Sailor Jerry was/is the quintessential tattoo artist of the '40s-'70s and is experiencing a resurgence in popularity. People are once again appreciating the humor and the detail of his work. For anyone interested in the art of the tattoo, the book is an essential purchase. My next piece is his classic cowgirl for my back (oh, and I am a woman and I can appreciate that his stuff was not just for sailors).
