Summary: An Introduction to The Four Seasons
Review: DK Publishing has joined forces with Baby Genius to create entertaining books for babies. These books combine Baby Genius' philosophy with DK's amazing photographs and designs. Baby Genius is a leading producer/publisher of classical, instrumental and vocal CDs and videos for young children.
In this book, children are introduced to pictures of:

Spring: Daffodils, lambs, splashing raindrops.

Summer: The beach, a pool, butterflies, a wet dog.

Fall: Leaves, tasty apples, walking in a forest.

Winter: Warm gloves, frosty leaves, a chilly snowman.

Then, there is a page of children dressed for each season. I like how they photographed the same tree in all seasons. The last scenes shows the animals you can expect to see in each season.

Four Seasons is a sturdy book that can be enjoyed for years. The photography is so good you can almost imagine reaching out and touching the page and actually feeling the cold, crisp snow or imagine you are inhaling the scent of autumn leaves. The photography is simply stunning.

Highly recommended as a teaching guide for babies and toddlers who are already curious about their world. This book helps to put words with their real-life learning experiences.

Summary: A heartfelt celebration of friendship, quirks and all
Review: This is a perenial favorite of mine. I've never found another film quite like it. The script is snappy with dozens of great one liners and moments to remember. You would definitely need to be an Alan Alda fan to like this film, but the other actors, particularly Jack Weston, Rita Moreno and Carol Burnett (as Alda's wife) are great. It is the quintessential "midlife" film which celebrates commitment to important relationships while allowing for our human quirks. Vivaldi's timeless music perfectly introduces the passages between the "seasons" of these 3 1/2 couples and their ever-changing lives and relationships. I wish there were more films that concentrated on the things this little classic concentrates on. Highly recommend it!

Summary: Very entertaining
Review: Who ever said he wasn't good in MASH hasn't seen the real Hawkeye. Why did the show stay on for 11 years and Alan Alda stayed on for all 11 years if he was a crackhead? And as for the movie, very good.
