Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Rupert Conrad, America's Greatest Artist of the 20th Century Review: I own several of Ruperts works, unfortunately not more.I really enjoy the rambling style of Rupert as he describes his thoughts on the meaning of art and the work of an artist. The book has many high quality plates of his work. Rupert died in 1979 before the book was published so his wife, Ruth Conrad, finished the last chapter and got together the art works presented in the book. Rupert talks about the great artists of the past and his ideas on the state of art in the 20th Century. His art has such a depth of respect for the dignity of mankind.
