Review: This book is not the best one for starting on. There are certain truths about theatre and productions which are left out. The book is an excellent resource if you are writing a musical, although I think you may find some of the example a bit pityful! I think they should label that section How NOT To Write A Musical! But, as I said, this book is good for using if you wish to shape your musical on the final drafts. There's also a very good resource page, which gives addresses and websites for resources and publishers, producers etc. Before you buy this think whether you are almost happy with a peice you've already started writing, if not then you will need another book. But some sections are very good.
