Rating: Summary: Tango:Dance of Self Discovery Review: As a President of a mid-sized company, I found this book to be inspiring as well as practical. In particular, I found the exercises to be very helpful. I don't have a lot of extra time on my hands but I was able to go through the book a page or a chapter at a time, put it down, and pick it up again without skipping a beat. I highly recommend it to corporate executives, as well as lay staff.
Rating: Summary: Making Your Life Count Review: Bravo to Katherine Carol for showing us how to make our lives count -- both personally and professionally. She takes us through a delightfully fun process of honoring ourselves at work and at play to live a soul-filled life. Most uniquely, she talkes about how we tend to demonize time -- a must-read chapter that gets to the heart of frustration, and show us how to befriend the demon that can control us. Great for anyone going through career change. Also a great graduation gift.

Review: Just when you think you've overloaded yourself with self-help, discovery, & 'how to' materials, Tango - Dance of Self-Discovery comes along! As a Professional Coach and Workshop leader, I have invested greatly in learning through other's books. Yet, this one so engaged me, I bought some scented markers and started looking at those patterns Katherine talks about in her book. This is the book you don't just read, you do the book. Regardless of gender, race, creed, or age, you'll find value, if you work the exercises, some fun, some challenging. You'll move & learn forward! Highly recommended for: 1. Coaches to share with clients as an exploration tool 2. Those on the 'edge' of a transition - career, college, retirement, empty nesters! 3. Recognition gifts for Business Performance outcomes. 4. Yourself - Just get it - then DO it!
Rating: Summary: A "must" read, A "must experience"! Review: Katherine Carol's book provides a wonderful opportunity for "everyone" to experience joy and purpose in their lives. The concept of 'self' and 'self-discovery' may seem trite and over-written these days; however, this book offers a practical, simple and pragmatic approach to 'life balance' and change. As a professional, this book has helped me best understand my work enviroment and, as a person, has begun to lead me on a fantastic journey of living life to its full extent!
Rating: Summary: Tango is a metaphor for revealing a personal passion Review: Most of us are unaware of the ways in which music, writing and drawing can unveil the secrets we have hidden inside ourselves. This book will help even the most "creatively challenged" (such as myself) unleash long-untapped resources within. As Jorge Luis Borges (Argentina's greatest writer) wrote about the problem of tango: "The tango can be debated, and we have debates over it, but it still guards, as does all that is truthful, a secret." Find your own truths, your own passions and your own secret to happiness in the pages of Tango.

Rating: Summary: TANGO - My personal dance of self-discovery Review: TangoKatherine continues to inspire, challenge, and guide me through my professional and personal journey. Her greatest gift for me has been the ability to walk with me through my path of rediscovering my passion. After many self-fulfilled bunny trails, Katherine and Tango have me cruising down life's path with a clear road map, filled with anticipated beautiful scenery along the way. - Sandy Hardy, Imagine Enterprises
Rating: Summary: Not about Tango at all Review: This is a very interesting book if you need to develop a personal philosophy and i would guess writing it did Katherine Carol a pile of good.It can be a bit cheesy and most of the material has been used many times by psychologists. The format is good. My beef is that she used the word Tango. Sometimes she uses the analogy of the dance but always so obliquely that you wonder why she bothered. It would certainly fox a few readers who had never danced Tango. As an avid Tanguero, I had hoped this book might widen my insight into the dance. Sadly, not a word. There is nothing in the book that would interest anyone who has arrived at it by a trawl through Tango book references. Not a fraud. A misnomer
