Rating: 3 stars
Summary: More of a Picture Book than anything else
Review: it is a very attractive and affordable book on roman architecture, but the text leaves much to be desired - it is very "chopy" and somewhat disorienting (the pictures that it refers to are usually not on the same page) - buy this book because it is visually appealing and affordable, not because it is a very good textual history of roman architecture (that pretty much applies to all of the books in this series).

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A bargain
Review: This book couples its photographs with plans and elevations - albeit simple ones. This enables the reader to get a much better idea of the entire stuctures, I wish I'd had it with me in Rome!
