RACINE - Prom night in Racine. Kewpee's. Burlington's Chocolate Festival. The Wind Point Lighthouse. The North Pier Lighthouse. Julia Burney and the Cops `N Kids Reading Center. Bowling. Frank Lloyd Wright's Great Workroom in the SC Johnson Administration Building.

They are all icons of Racine, and they are among the subjects of photographs by Journal Times staff photographers in the "Wisconsin 24/7" book which was published in September by DK Publishing.

The book, a "coffee table" book, was part of a national project in which 20 photographers in each state were commissioned to document their community and state the week of May 11, 2003.

A national book, "America 24/7," was published a year ago, and the books for each state were published this year.
