Summary: An absolutely wonderful book
Review: An absolutely wonderful book and not the shallow, nasty type Bush books that have made the best seller lists. Shows a loving close family. The author a devout Democrat and Kerry supporter has nonetheless done a bang up job with this book. Loved the array of photos and especially the ones of President Bush, Laura and the twins as they were growing up. The accompanying text is honest but not mean. And its amazing how the photos of before and after President Bush gave up alcohol show the positive changes, just in how happy the family is. Having recovering alcoholic friends who are also Christians now, I see such similarities. Great job Mr. Spada. And for those who think Barbara Bush isn't the affectionate type, this book proves that idea, wrong.

Review: James Spada has done it again! Like his similar books on Jackie, John and Caroline, and Ronald Reagan, Spada has compiled over 300 fascinating, rare photos to tell the story of the Bushes from early in the 20th Century till late last year. The photos are touching, funny, and quirky, and the captions fascinating. Recommended not just for Bush fans, but anyone interested in politics and the presidency.
